So here are the starts to the combo sequence. I still need to do some smoothing up on the animations but they are a good start. Right now I'm thinking swipe [knocks enemy back], stab [lunges forwards to hit the enemy again] jump slash [knocks back again]
I also added in the entire particle system. Particles are amazing in GM:S but it can take a while to set up the system and tweak it so that everything is working just right. If you want to learn how to do particle systems yourself here is a link to a GREAT tutorial: Particles in Game Maker

Oh also you should do a combo system it makes the combat very good :) like xxxvv will do a jump kick etc just a idea!
