Many have noticed and complained (some praised) the 'mod rating system' seen in all mod profiles. This system allows visitors to that mod to rate it on a scale to 1 to 10. The aim is to allow modification authors to see how the public view their mod and also give others a general indication of it's potential and quality. It does however seem a little stupid occasionally to let people to rate a modification before it is released.
Furthermore, unfortunatly some people submit false votes, to either boast their mod or destroy the reputation of others. Many systems are inplace to prevent such a practice, however you now have the option to disable this mod rating scheme if you don't approve of it!
To do this login to your modifications control panel then choose the option to 'modify its profile'. From there uncheck the box to allow 'mod ratings' and it shall instantly dissapear. You can of course enable it again at any time!
As always, if you have any questions regarding this feature, please do not hesitate to ask!
Sorry if this news post is a little confusing. If you don't get any part of it, just wack your question here and I will try and answer it
so ppl can opt whether or not to have the function on their mod
Very good idea.
I'm disabling mine and re-enabling it when i release.
That is exactly right. It is for people like blackpanther who don't want 'people rating their modification' when it isn't even released for example
this is a really good idea. What if the only way you can rate the mods has to be if they are released?
i agree its a great idea, i disabled it on my mod.
