Hey people,
As most of you will know, the voting for this year's Mod of the Year awards started a few days ago. The MotY awards are fairly prestigious within the modding community, and it's our hope that Blade Symphony will go on to win a few awards of its own. This really couldn't have come at a better time for us, as we are expecting to release Blade Symphony very soon and really hope we'll be able to turn a few heads with the MotY awards before we do!
So here's what we're going to do: starting this Friday, and every other day until the 15th of December, we will be posting news updates about Blade Symphony - its gameplay, characters, maps, art and sound design. We'll be giving you brand new screenshots and videos of things you haven't seen before, and by the 15th you should pretty much know everything there is to know about Blade Symphony! We're not even going to do anything silly like demand you vote for us in the MotY awards in order to see this stuff, although really, we'd appreciate it if you did vote for us; pretty please with a cherry on top?
So; tune in Friday for the first post in our Blade Symphony news extravaganza, and here's what we'll be covering these next couple of updates:
- Friday - Judgement character overview with story and fiction background, concepts, quotes from the artists involved and an exclusive wallpaper!
- Sunday - introduction to Blade Symphony, history of its development and a general gameplay explanation!
As for me, this is my first sign-off as Puny Human's newest addition; my goal as the new PR Manager will be to keep feeding those hungry for information about all our games, so stay tuned.
You don't need to demand us to vote for you in MotY, we already did.
I didn't.
I did.
Also, just going to say this; while you want to release it soon to compete better in the MoTY awards, I'd say don't rush, don't speed up production, take your time, you can win Upcoming MOTY this year, then MOTY next year this way, and also people won't be able to claim rushed development.
You're pretty much on the money. We're aiming for late this year, early next year anyways, but we won't be able to make it in the next 13 or so days. We were originally looking to release with our two heavily polished maps, but now the third is so far in that we'd like to release with just about all of our content.
Good to know; I've seen some mods bum rush and put together a release in hopes of being MOTY, and well it just ends up hurting their chances. First impressions are everything...you release a buggy mod, with broken content, and some stuff left over from the stock game? Not many people will return.
Shotgun Sunrise went down that path...nothing can save it now.
I already voted! I've been waiting so long for this mod, I can not wait.
