We have now completed transition onto a new server with 450GB of space (upgradeable to 900GB and beyond) for mod downloads.
While we now have the capacity, the functionality for mods to submit files for download, and, for people to download mods from us, is still a little while off. Please do not ask when this will be available, as it is a "When it's done" feature, and i know everyone is looking forwards to it, but there is alot of work involved.

How are you going to check it are only mod uploads? Like news-posts that must be authorised before anyone can see it?
Files must be authorised by Senior Admins.

Still, the moderators *would* have to download the files, otherwise people would be able to upload unwanted things, you know...
Maybe to check if the file is corrupt or something like that as well(although this should be done by the uploader, to ensure that his file is usable).

I think that it would be better to allow standard admins to auth the files, but that's only my opinion.

Actually, text only takes up a few kilobytes. What is the big problem with forums is the database size. My database is 20mb after only about 10000 posts and a few modifications and stuff. But text isn't that much.
