Week update: the Sonic Resonator
When Lameduke was released in 1997, there was a pickup sprite for a so called Sonic Resonator. It was a weapon that (like the Laser Chainsaw) was never implemented, but the thing is, not even the HUD sprite we have. So what do we do?
If you are aware about the Alpha/Beta content shown in the community, you know that the HUD sprite used in the game, is for the so called "inflater" weapon, or as we call it today, the Expander. Since this sprite was nver used, and most people don't know about its true origin (and its cool freaking design), I decided to use it for the Sonic Resonator.
It works as a "pusher", it emits a hyper sonic wave capable of pushing the aliens so fast, that when they hit a wall or another alien, they EXPLODE, but be careful, it bounces of walls too, so don't let Duke get in its way.
Another cool thing is what it does to the Commander, throwing his flying pad out of his body, leaving him crawling on the ground.

The Sarge
You may have noticed the new enemy on the screenshots above. It's the SARGE. Similar to the Commander, it flies alround, but instead of shooting rockets at you, it bulls at the player pushing and hurting him. If you manage to kill, be careful, he will trigger a self-destruct sequence and blow up, and, sometimes, it might fail to kill him, and instead, leave him crawling on the ground.
The Scorpion Tank
What is worth than the Pig Cop Tank? The Pig Cop SCORPION TANK. It shoots bullets at you, sometimes it throws a Napalm, and sometimes shoots Freeze Blasts at you. A real F$#&$%. But the real treat is, it's piloted by the Elite Pig Cop. Watch out!!
What's next?
Unfortunately (and fortunately), next week I'm gonna on a vacation, and only return on January. Like I said before, I feared this would happen, and I wouldn't be able to release the update now. But don't worry, when I'm back, I'll be 100% focused.
About what's left to be done, 3 levels, the QUEEN fight, Upscale the new sprites, finish the Soundtrack, test and balance, the Mac and Raze Touch port. I may set the release date to the begining of February, but it's still too soon. It's a big update after all.
