Moving from XNA to SlimDX isn't as easy as replacing few codes, cause it also requires existing XNA's built-in features to be created from ground up and adjusted to SlimDX's code. Not only graphical parts are different but also the small codes such as Vectors ( used mostly for entity positioning ) and other lame codes.
This WILL take time, but I'm already far so with a little bit of luck porting will be over soon.
