It seems a little surreal that the Mod Database is now 3 years old. Boy does time fly, and this website has certainly flown with it.
Three years ago this place was bare, the mod scene was scattered all over the web and I had allot of time to spare. It used to take me hours to chaise down the mods I wanted, and hence the inspiration / need for this site was born. Now, thanks to our 57,000 members this place is no longer bare, and all mods listed are benefited daily, as we aim to promote and plug them as much as possible. Keep up the hard work, and we'll keep fighting to ensure mod teams get the recognition and credit they deserve.
Just like anything else in life we wouldn't be here without the communities support and the staff members who work tirelessly keeping this place ticking over. So thanks go out to everyone involved, plus the chimps out back who furiously type away and especially to the mod teams which took the time to register here, and then plug the mod database! It's all appreciated and I on behalf of the staff let me just say that I eagerly anticipate the next three years!

not all mods are publisized here though, i still ocasionally run into a mod thats absolutly supreme, but not here...
I.E. Freelancer, the flRebalance mod, TNG, FL new balance and plenty more just arent modDB-ed.
but thats just up to them... might help DB out to place some advertizements here and there... like
"have a mod, but no-one knows you do? PLACE IT AT modDB! the ULTIMATE mod collection!"

Wow. Three years already. I remember when I first heard about this place (I think on PQ or PHL), I came and registered immediately. ModDB sounded exactly what I needed to easily keep track of a bunch of mods. And it is :)
