Time flies and this is our final version - Geomcraft Gold release. As always, we do this iteration based on the suggestions from playtesting, and in the final week, we avoid great mechanism changes for a stable version. In this edition, we work on the following elements for reasons below.
- BGM changes - from playtesting suggestions, the BGM doesn't fit our game very well, and sometimes it brings a little bit uncomfortable for players when they play for a long time. So we change the BGM to a lighter one.
- Tutorial refinements - we have add some special effects for the tutorial so that the players might understand the game better. For example, when introduce the minions, the panel will change color, so the players will notice it and finally realize the difference of various minions.
- Tempo changes - the movement of minions should be consistent with the tempo of the background music. Therefore we also change that.
- Bug fix - we fix the attack animations of the mages. Previously a bug may cause the mage attack too slowly/rapidly. And we also fix some other bugs that may delay the game.
Although this is our final release, if we have chances to refine it, we will continuously work on stressing the ice/fire theme of the game. Meanwhile, we will balance those effects so that it won't be too distractive.
