Hi there, this is alxcote, First Strike Animator and Concept Artist. Here is a bit about myself. My full name is Alexandre Cote, I am 20 years old and I am curently studying at Sheridan in Animation. I have always been passionate with arts and everything that is graphic related. From the small doodles i used to make as a kid to the short animated films I do for school to this great MOD I have the chance to work on. My work here is to make sure the design packages are done right and given to the modelers.
To be able to supply some great visuals that can then help the Modelers to save time and get a better perspective on their tasks. These are first made as ConceptArts and then put into Model Sheets for a better understanding of the shapes and forms. My second function is to animate and bring life to every moving model in the game. From huge walking ATAT's to simple weapon clip reloading, I'm there doing my best to give the illusion of life. The Battlefield 2 engine is fairly new to most of us, trying to transfer a world such as Star Wars into it is quite a challenge. We're trying very hard to take profit of engine and achieve as much realism as we can. These are the first 3 Concept art done for the Hoth map. They are for the Rebel Assault Trooper, the Calamari Officer and the Bothan Spy.
