Hello troopers!
We'd like to bring news of a new COMMUNITY MAP released by Benu_Kenobi, titled Outpost Assault. This map is an infantry-based night time map set on a small island, where some Rebels have to liberate some fuel so they can escape from an Imperial outpost before reinforcements arrive.
BlackIntel are currently hosting this map on their testing server, which was used for development for this map, and public players are free to join it at any time. They are also planning on hosting an hour-long event on their regular server at 7PM UK TIME, 2PM EST (1 hour before the community game), running this map trying to get a large game going
If you're interested in playing the map, you can download it via links on the fsmod site (38mb), just extract the zip and read the included readme for how to install the map. We'd also like to note that as this is a COMMUNITY map, and has not been tested and approved by the FS Dev/Testing team. Although a lot of people involved in the testing for BlackIntel were veteran testers/ex-testers, not all of the testing (and few of the dev team) were present at all stages of testing, so we can't promise the map will run perfectly. We can, however, say that so long as you follow the included Readme file, you shouldn't have any issues playing regular First Strike.Don't forget, BlackIntel are planning on running an event for this map on their regular server at 7PM UK TIME, 2PM EST, so lets get as many people on this map as we can!
