An ingame Item that plays a huge role in the story of the full game is about to be explained!
The eye of fate is torn out of the dragon that terrorised Huskmiel hundreds of years before the game takes place. The dragon was immortal but it body was destroyed so it life remained in the eye until you find it and return to Cap'n Jack and he uses it to revive Eric The Mighty who died saving the planet 50 years ago.
Eric becomes a follower later in the game and you give him the Sword Of Magic an Eye of Fate which he combines both killing Hinself, The final boss and evidently... you.
