Welcome to a second dev diary ! In this second dev diary, we will talk about the new ideologies and the inflation system. Note that some things are still WIP and might change in the alpha release.
Ideologies
The mod currently have 10 ideologies : Liberalism, Conservatism, Christian Democracy, Independent ( Representing independent candidates ), Socialist, Democratic Socialist, Social Democracy, Communism, Theocracy, Nationalism , Monarchism and Autocratism. However, these do not all show on the idealogy bar as the scrolling bar is yet to be added.
For the moment , all ideologies will be able to declare war and take land. However, taking non-cored land will cost a enormous amount of victory point, making puppets preferable. However, we may add something to make it so that democratic countries have a far harder time to effectue a war without any focus.
Inflation
The inflation is a total new system used by Ashes Of The Past

Some countries will start with inflation, while other will win it. We also plan to add events adding inflation. Inflation give debuffs. Note that these will probably change before the final release.
The hyperinflation will be able to be reduced in multiple ways. For the moment, only the generic way has been finished.
By doing cuts in a certain amount of time ( Currently half a year ), you will be able to slightly lower the inflation. The effects of the cuts depend in which domain is the cut.
Portraits
Poratraits are unique for this mod.every leader will have a dedicaded flag for each ideology that they represents.

And these are all that will be included in game (there are more).
For the moment, this is all we have done yet. However, we will work hard to provide you with more interesting content !
