A Very Light Over-View of the Mod

Who (is developing it): Wyndsfall Studios

What (is it): A mod for Mount&Blade II: Bannerlord.

When (will it be released): This is TBD but we hope to release the first versions of the mod sometime after Bannerlord has released.

Where (will it be released): Here on ModDb and maybe on the TaleWorlds Forums.

Why (should I be interested): That's up to you, if you enjoy learning about ancient history, or early human history and think that a mod based around it would be fun then please do follow the mod and stay tuned for updates.

WHAT IS THE MOD ALL ABOUT

10,000 BC is based on the current world of Calradia, but 11,000 years prior to the events of Bannerlord. Some key features we hope to implement are:

Nomads:

These will essentially be towns and/or villages that move. They will have recruit/merchants, guards, everything you'd find in a normal town/village but will be a little different in terms of game play.Mobile: These tribes of hunter-gatherers will be able to move away from incoming war parties to save themselves. Less Fortified: Their mobility will come at a cost however and these parties will only be able to afford light and weak defenses such as palisades. This will make sieges more like battles and can give the aggressors the upper-hand.

Bartering:

There will be no currency and therefor to get items that you want, you must barter and trade items of equal or greater value. This will add a layer of difficulty but living in 10,000 BC was pretty difficult so it fits.

Homo s. Sapiens:

As this mod is set in 10,000 BC there will only be regular humans, as Neanderthals, Homo Erectus, and Homo s. Idaltu (these may just be very old Homo Sapiens however so pardon me if this later turns to be incorrect) all died out thousands of years prior.

Realism:

Although this does take place in a fictional setting (Calradia), I would like to retain as much realism about life at 10,000 BC as much as possible. What this means is many items such as armor, shields and swords will NOT be in the mod. Prior to organized civilization early hunter gatherers had no need for shields and armor and thus did not invent them until much later.

PLEASE REMEMBER WE ARE HOPING TO RELEASE A FIRST VERSION AROUND A MONTH AFTER BANNERLORD IS RELEASED
