OK, since id soft made the q2 exe source GPL, as part of the next release of ltktbm aq2 (standard aq2 with ltktbm bots) I am releasing ltktbm aq2 as a stand alone build.

This build will be able to connect to standard servers (popupak maps only), it has all the aq2 controls included in the customise controls menu, and the menu subsystem has been customised for aq2 with bot support.

I already have the aq2.exe built, working, tested and doing just fine (few minor additions still todo)

This leads me onto my help request!

As with any standalone game you need maps. This release includes all the maps in the popupak map pack, HOWEVER all the popupak maps use some textures from the baseq2 installation, which I cannot distribute, which means they all need re-doing. These textures are the only thing holding back this release. Sound simple? its not, those 15 popupak maps use no less than 233 textures from the baseq2 folder (out of a possible 2100) all of which need re-doing in a similar theme, as you can appreciate, this is no simple job, so we need all the help we can get, young, old, father, son, even your mothers aunt, please help complete these textures so the aq2 full install can go ahead.

The build even comes with q2ace support. So if you've got a few minates on your hands, and think you can redo a texture or 2 head on over to the ltktbm forums get yourself reg'd and I'll organise who does what.
