Cloud Alliance ("CA"), a Singapore-headquartered technology firm that provides payment solutions, game localisation, marketing and advertising services to game developers, has partnered with Guardtime, a leading global blockchain cybersecurity company - Guardtime Pte Ltd ("Guardtime"), as its technology partner to advise and support CA’s cybersecurity and blockchain ecosystem.

Guardtime will be assisting on multiple aspects of CA’s product ecosystem which includes the leveraging of blockchain technology to ensure the security and provenance of its CloudMoolah payment records and systems as well as minimize fraud and chargebacks in the use of virtual currency for CA’s mobile gaming app store, the MOO Store.

"The security of the MOO Store ecosystem is of paramount importance to Cloud Alliance and it is important for us to safeguard the integrity of our gaming ecosystem. That is why we will work with Guardtime which has a stellar reputation for providing the highest cybersecurity standard in the industry," said Mr Jonathan Sze, co-founder of Cloud Alliance.

Guardtime's involvement from the start of the development process means that Cloud Alliance's products will be optimised to ensure that the highest operational security standard will be inbuilt and embedded into the ecosystem.

Guardtime’s global team of more than 150 cryptographers, developers and security architects has decades of experience in developing and implementing security products based on their KSI Blockchain. The technology is deployed within the Estonian Government enterprise as the world’s largest defence and telecommunication vendor. Guardtime’s other partners include Swedish tech giant Ericsson and the recently announced collaboration with Verizon, the US-based telecommunications conglomerate.

Commenting on the partnership, Mr James Koo, President of Guardtime Singapore, said: "This collaboration with Cloud Alliance is our first entry into the gaming industry vertical, and we are excited to work with Cloud Alliance with their longstanding experience in the video game publishing and payments industry."

Cloud Alliance has recently launched the region's first digital games platform token sale of MOO tokens. The US$30M Initial Coin Offering (“ICO”) led by Singapore-based Aetius Capital (Aetius) aims to create a platform where gamers can trade MOO Tokens with virtual items from games on the MOO Store – a game distribution platform and virtual asset marketplace.
