Build 2046. Beta Edition 5.0 is now available.
At this time the mod will be uploaded to Google Disk and Yandex Disk instead of Moddb because of reasons.
Due to the difficulties that I encountered during the development of version 5.0 as a result it came out extremely large due to the making it standalone. Now it doesn't require the copy of original Half-Life 2 Episode 2 on Steam to run. Total weight of the archives for download: 10 GB (6 archives each is 1,6 GB, 1 archive 750 MB and last one 30 MB).What we have in this version: 76 Maps, 12 chapters (Episodes?) and 7-8 hours of gameplay.
Installation is simple: Unzip all parts of archive using 7-zip or any other archiver and then patch mod with the hotfix.Also you will need to update DirectX.To run mod use launcher in folder with the mod.
So what is the problem and why mod is standalone now?As mentioned above I encountered problem during development of 5.0. It's very annoying bug that affected most part of the maps. When loading maps after player death (even using a quick save) AI is disabled. The problem is in the maps themselves. Command "AI_Disable 0" does not work (generally neither AI_ command doesn't work on these maps), an attempt to tie the AI commands to the map itself isn't successful as well (they are, as already mentioned above, simply refuse to work on these maps). Nothing helps. There is no a single clue what causes the bug.
Little sin on custom map compilers, but not all maps which were compiled using these compilers have this bug. I asked on the forums. No doubt that maps were corrupted (npc navigation nodes were screwed up). I was offered to move mod to platform "Cinematic Mod 2013 Alpha 1" because only this platform can normally read these maps properly. This bug does not occur when running on "Cinematic Mod 2013 Alpha 1", but is present on absolutely everything else. What is the reason - of course it is not clear. As result everything works fine, except two very bad things:1. Mod now weighs 26,5 GB instead of 21 GB as before.2. The FPS dropped by half because of specificity of renderer in CM2013 (Please, don't whine about low fps).
We'll have to settle for this to make it work. What to do with dropped FPS I don't know yet, but I'll be working on it. I'm sorry for releasing this version so unoptimized. Unfortunately my four years of work with the Source Engine is not enough to understand what the engine did not like it again.
Please note that this is not final version of mod.I will continue working on the mod in the future. I will start working on the next version soon and there will be more fixes and improvements. We can expect a new shader model, new effects and of course optimization. Also I plan to add more locations such as the arctic region, Weather Control, the monastery, the Kraken base and Old Citadel.

What games do I need for this mod? All HL2 episodes or more?
The game requires nothing but to download it that is pretty darn good.
Not a very finished mod looks amazing in the beginning then there are some unfinished maps and I think there should be more enemied and ammo on all maps.
Very unfinished couldnt get through some maps without noclipping and it was really hard even on easy difficulty
