Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty is the sequel to the 1998 Blizzard hit. This is the review.

I have never been a fan of Starcraft. I didn't like how you have to gather minerals for other things. It reminded me of taxes. Starcraft 2 had so much good stuff that I forgot about it. (Forgot about taxes?! IMPOSSIBLE!)

Starcraft 2 is (sorta) like Gears of War. The difference is that in Gears of War, you are chainsawing aliens in the face, while in Starcraft 2 you are shooting, clawing, and laser-ing aliens in the face.

What struck me a little was that there was humour in the game. For example, there is an ipistol commercial, dancing marine, and one of the units sounds like a high Arnold Shwartzawhateverhisnameis. The problem, however, is that you don't know if it is on purpose or if it is accidental. The latter is the most likely, but I have been wrong before. The Marines are steroid big. Like the Space Marines or Marcus and Dom. You don't know if it is ironic or funny. Also, the dialogue is questionable, and sometimes it is to the point where I am a little embarassed to listen. However, the graphics are pretty damn good for an RTS, and almost (ALMOST!!) make up for the dialogue.

What Starcraft 2 does so amazingly well is actually mix the story and gameplay together. You are not going to be watching a cutscene in a city and be fighting on a meteor the next. That doesn't even make sense.

A large drawback is the lack of Zerg and Protoss campaigns. It seems like all RTS's that have aliens the marines are the good guys. I SO wanted to fire mah lazor and be as badass as the Flood from Halo. Sadly I didn't get the chance. Skirmish and multiplayer do give me that satisfaction, but I longed for the long term reprecussions (Did I spell that right?). I am going to cut this short and go to the Pros/Cons.

Pros:
- Campaign and gameplay are flawlessly intertwined.
- Great variety of missions, none of them are repetitive (in my opinion).
- Great - ish? Multiplayer

Cons:
- No Zerg or Protoss Campaigns
- No LAN or disk spawn
- Stupid Battlenet. Grrr.

So, I give Starcraft 2 a 4 out of 5. (A 4 and a half if it fell under my ability, but sadly, no.)

Sorry but... you're stupid this is Starcraft II wings of liberty, meaning it is the terran game with a terran campaign. That is why there is no alien campaigns you have to wait for the next installment of the trilogy that makes up the three campaigns. There will also most likely be a lot of additional features so don't say how stupid a new game just for a new campaign.
