Hello, this is just a message concerning the new Half-Life 2 modification code-named: "Black Mesa: Source"

While it has been in the planning for almost two months now, we have been more concerned with design and conceptualization rather then publicity, but now we're looking for more team members to jump on board. We hope Black Mesa: Source will be able to give the player a new sense of the original which started one of the largest gaming communities in the world. We feel that (based upon released screenshots and released information) Valve Software is doing no more then a port with a "copy and paste" attitude towards Half-Life: Source and we want to be able to create each environment that was in Half-Life 1 using the beauty of Source. By keeping the majority (99%) of the original game's features, abilities, ideas, level layouts, plotlines, etc, we plan to create a Black Mesa unlike any other before it and show the player how Gordon's past was meant to be seen.

I hope that you'll put this on the main page as we're looking for more team members to jump on board. We're looking for programmers, level designers, modellers, texture artists, and more.
