Post news RSS Big Things Coming to Lula's Cape

Hey everyone! Lula’s Cape has been on Itch.io for quite a while now; but I figure it’s finally time to start reaching out to the Indie DB community to let them in on the fun! So now I’ll start posting updates and devlogs to Indie DB as well. If you want to read the previous devlogs about Lula’s Cape, you can check them out on Itch.io. But for now, we’ll kick off from where we last were in the Lula’s Cape development journey. Keep on readin’ below!

Boy, has it been a while! I’ve been quite busy with school, so I haven’t been able to post much; but summer is finally here. Even though I’ve been spending a lot of time on programming projects for school, I’ve been doing more than just that. I’ve also been working a TON on Lula’s Cape -- and it’ll really start to show soon. Let me fill you in on what I’ve been working on below:

The main thing that I’ve been working on over the past 3+ months is a doozy. Soon, players will be able to upload their room designs to the internet for others to play! All you have to do is design your room, click a button, and boom. Your room is out there for others to explore and enjoy. You’ll be able to check out other people’s rooms by going to the Lula’s Cape website and just copy-pasting a code (which is generated when you upload the room) into the game!

Aside from this huge step, I’ve worked on a couple bug fixes and what-not. But this whole sharing-your-rooms thing has been my primary focus. The update will hopefully be available in just a few days, so keep an eye out!

I know that I’ve been gone a while, but it’s good to finally be back and at it! Happy gaming, everyone.
