Post news Report RSS Animation/Lighting Updates+Cryengine Indie Fund Submission!

New Animations and lighting really make a difference to the overall feel of the game! We are also in the ongoing CryEngine Indie Fund Contest!

Incredible what good lighting can do to improve the overall look and feel of a game! CryEngine is especially known for making good art look even better with its rendering system, so its about time I started working more indepth with the lighting settings.

One of the interesting gameplay aspects will be trying to survive in a Northern Maine town in October, which means only 10 hours of daylight. Players will need to make the most of the daytime hours to find supplies and homes that still have lighting in the town order to survive 14 hours of darkness and demon possessed corpses hunting them.

We are also currently in the CryEngine Indie Dev Fund! In hindsight we are a bit underprepared for this first contest, fortunately there are supposed to be Indie Fund Selections every 3 months, so we are already considering how to improve our presentation for future submissions. Nevertheless we are giving this one a full effort, any likes or comments on our contest page are very much appreciated (Link to Contest Page)

Thank you!

The forest looked especially real with only the brownish sky backdropping on the pitch black sillhouettes of dead trees and bushes.

Hi! It looks atmospheric. Maybe add a short - light flashes when Player shooting?
And Red chemical Flare as player flashlight? (Or Lighter)))
Red Flare will look creepy between trees (blair witch atmosphere hehe) )))
Good luck with the development!
