It's been seven months since last update and announcement of development reload, which was just reassembling and bringing stuff together more clean, in the fact.

In last 7 months, ABR MOD 2.0 was reassambled, to throw away unused, unnecessary or not working properly stuff. In the fact, this brought 2.0 closer to vanilla in some ways, though trying to keep game fun and challenging. Some aspects of trader tiers and economy were changed, to enhance the good sides of the game and nullify the negative ones, which in my opinion are: too easy economy with selling looted weapons, pre-filled stashes with guns, too poor trader tiers and etc.

So, ABR MOD is not just a graphical overhaul, but shifts gameplay accents a bit. So it will be not 100% recommendation for vanilla purists. It's planned to make 4 understandable difficulties like: Story, Action, Challenge and Survivalism, so new comers would understand and choose what they do like.

All those stashes scattered around are not have weapons now, but the loot is still viable to use or sell. Same goes to mutant parts, and not sellable weapons will prevent people from psychological lock of hamstering and backtracking over and over again. Plus it will add some kind of progression, since now you're starting in the coat and with a hunting shotgun, you will need to buy your first outfit, not just to take it from the barge or from the gas station stash.

Today I finished the first playthough and had only two random crashes on killing monolith in Pripyat, so the current build with updated bins (thanks to PYP), is pretty stable, though there are many small and medium tweaks to do, before releasing it.

2.0 will replace the old version and will be updated whole (in case of some new found problems), without additional patch files, since some people just don't install them and have old bugs. New version will be around 1.5gb in archive and placed in game directory with patches. Multilang will be supported, you will be able to play the mod with your game's language and text. I'll place text files in gamedata aside the game archives, so if you want to contribute and tweak them, you can then send files to me and I'll update the mod download.

I played the latest version and absolutely loved it and I'm super excited for 2.0's release. It will be awesome!

I also have an idea for high rarity weapon stashes in extreme danger areas that I'd be willing to solely implement. I have a more detailed description I can post, if you so wish.

I understand your idea, but saddly stalker is so unstable, so I just try to keep the game in one piece with best performance.

Plus spawning a new weapon in some stash will take veeeeeery much time calculating coordinates and such stuff. It can fall under the textures and so on :|

Spawn a stash in densely mutant populated area? Technically - yes.

You can spawn somewhere a box or just a gun. Assign your mutant squads to this particular smart terrain, so they don't run away. I made something like this, but near the chopters.

The problem is in idea or rare stuff, which is supposed to be bought from Nimble. Adding new guns? Making traders never trade some VSS or G and put them in the stash?

If you want to try - you just unpack the mod and try. I plan to open addon section, I even didn't know about it on first release, lol.

Noice. But tbh hype is a pretty bad thing. May be you will get dissapointed because of high anticipation in the end.
