Greetings, members of ModDB. My name is Kenny, and I am currently the sole team member of the Zombie Swarm team. I originally started this project in about 2011 with a good friend of mine, but due to neither one of us knowing the first thing about putting together a source mod, it was doomed to fall apart. I had managed to piece together a few scattered scraps of content, but looking back, they weren't really of sufficient quality. Moving on to the present day, I now have much more experience working with the source engine, but I am still something of a novice. Filled with vigour, energy and ambition, I have since resumed work on my abandoned Zombie Swarm project files. At present, my plan is to replace all of the artistic assets and maps in Alien Swarm with novel ones. Essentially, Zombie Swarm will be a re-skinned version of Alien Swarm, with a couple of new missions.

I also see that you changed the face, in my opinion the previous face looked better, and I liked the decorations on the clothes but if it's not realistic to that time perhapps there could be soem other things to decorate decorate the textures.

Description

This is the first character model for the ongoing zombie swarm project - the gentleman's lounge performer Christina.

Christina is a fusion of several femme fatale style characters from the 1950s period, or movies based in the 1950s movie period. Her original design has been extensively re-tweaked to remove elements that would not have been available in the 1950s, such as the floral patterned tights, which actually started being manufactured in the 1970s. The bold, flat colour scheme is somewhat inspired by the comic books and artwork of the era. (Just look at the bold, flat colours used by Andy Warhol, for instance.) This style of texture colouring is something that I'm likely to use in quite a few artistic assets for the Zombie Swarm project.

I will begin animating the model with custom animations for use in the Alien Swarm engine at some point over the coming week.

Her design is still subject to change over time, but I'm quite happy with it so far.
