Description

A few tips about gameplay: remember this is a “strafe game”, that is, strafing is crucial to surprise and kill enemies. When I play, I’m basically a crab walking sideways everywhere with [alt] pressed. Also, ammo is scarce so just like in the anime, “don’t shoot at will, JJ!”. A good tip is to first “awake” the enemies by just “peaking” at doors and corners, prompting them to go to you, instead of the contrary.

Remember also, you can use the cheat codes from Wolf3D. You probably know all this, but here’s a reminder: you need to start the game with the parameter --goobers. To do so, you can create a short cut to the Zillion3D_1.1.exe file. Then, right click the short cut and choose “Properties”. Find the “target” tab and add the parameter --goobers at the end of the file path. Be sure to add the parameter after the quotation marks, like this:

"C:\Zillion 3D \Zillion3D_1.1.exe" --goobers

Then, during gameplay you can press [Left Shift] + [Alt] + [Backspace] to enable debug mode. From then on, you can press [Tab] + I for free items, [Tab] + G for god mode or [Tab] + W to skip levels. You can find on the internet the full list of cheats for Wolf3D, but these are the most useful.

(Since we’re on the subject, you can also add all parameters from the wolf4SDL, like --windowed and etc. You can find a guide here: Dosgamers.com)
