The guards with shotguns were infected with a liquid called glummo which causes the skin to deform, the face and which also changes the color of the blood of any color there are types of glummo

--Short glummo (which the other zombie has)

--Black glummo
The glummo also hurts the demons, they sometimes swallow that liquid in the laboratory
