Main Questlines

Demon Worshiper Questline:

Quest: The Helping Hand
-Can be started at any time by finding the Isolated Chapel minor location (Mountain Border between Weldhauf and Bruvik) and talking to Father Argust inside, agreeing to help him;
-You will be tasked to find a man named Vernaldus from near the village of Merrold and bring him back to the Isolated Chapel;
-As soon as Vernaldus joins your party a small band of inquisition troops will spawn nearby and chase you down. They will ask you hand Vernaldus over to them. You can either comply or kill/persuade them. If you do the former the quest will fail and you will instead begin the opposing inquisition questline;
-After you dispatched either way the Inquisition patrol you can return to the chapel and complete the quest. Your reward will be the Binding Blade, a dagger that heals on swing.

Quest: A New Family
-The quest strats immediately after The Helping Hand is completed. refusing to collaborate with the worshipers will lead them to attack you. In this case, should you manage to kill Argust you can denounce what happened at the Inquisitor of Inquisition Keep. If you are instead defeat, both questlines will fail;
-Argust will task you with defeating Inquisitor Celestine and her Army who are ammassed near Kirk;
-When facing the Inquisitor you can chose either to betray the demon worshipers and reveal their location to her or to simply kill her as requested. The former is the last option to start the Inquisition side of the questline, the latter continues the demon worshiper path;
-Defeating Celestine will earn you her skull, which must returned to the Isolated Chapel to complete the Quest;
-Once that is done you will join the demon worshipers minor faction and have access to their items and troops.

Quest: The Expedition.
-Can be started by talking with Vernaldus in the Isolated Chapel.
-You will be tasked of finding the camp of an expedition of scholars near Videns and to take whatever their findings are;
-You can either bribe or kill the expedition, ending with you getting a journal with their findings;
-Vernaldus will be pleased with you and reward you the Ars Goetia, which allows to perfmors demon summoning rituals.

Quest: Dark Alliance
-After completing the Expedition quest, Argust will tell you have summoned by the High Priest;
-You must travel to the Bishop Manor near Heaven's Peak and meet the false Bishop Jerren who will ask you deliver a letter from him to the vampires of House Vilkblut;
-The Onyx Tower is located near Breden. Entering the keep you must speak with the matriarch of the House who will in turn send you back to the Isolated Chapel to reley her decision;
-Going back to the Isolated Chapel will discover the location of Pervlein Monastery near Estmark which you must assault with a contingent of Vilkblut vampires and other worshiper units;
-The battle will continue in the Monastery's Chapel where you must kill the Abbott to succed;
-The quest will then be complete and the services of the Onyx Tower unlocked for you to use. Speaking with Argust will also award you a cultist chestplate and sallet.

Quest: The Lost Archives
-After completing the Dark Alliance quest speak with Vernaldus who will ask you join him in an expedition to the Farbogs;
-The location of the Moonfall Archives will be revealed on your map;
-Entering the location will put in you into a small dungeon which must be cleared. Killing the Archdevil in the ruined Cathedral is the trigger for the location to be cleared;
-Once cleared leave the location and Vernaldus will speak to you, completing the quest but also urging you to return to the Chapel.

Quest: The Darkest Hour
-Returning to the Isolated Chapel after Completing "The Lost Archives" you will find both the Vikblut Matriarch and High Priest Jerren waiting for you;
-Speak with the High Priest who will tell you a great rite must be performed by the cult and that you will be tasked with defending the Chapel for an encroching Church Army;
-The High Priest will give you the Dark Apostle Helm and Mace and direct you to speak with Argust when you are ready. A Party of cultists will also spawn outside who will join you for free;
-Speaking with Argust will spawn the Church Army who will travel all the way from Kirk to you. Defeat them and the quest is complete leading to the last quest in the Worshiper Questline.

Quest: The Final Rite
-After defeating the Church Army return to Argust. He will tell you the ritual is underway but a final ingridient is needed, the blood of an angel. Luckily one such angel is prisoner of the Chapel;
-Head outside the Chapel into the nearby graveyard, then up the stairs into the mausoleum. Inside you will find the chained angel;
-You can either kill her or free her. If you kill her then you will acquire her blood;
-Leave the Mausoleum and you will be able to enter the ritual chamber. Give the blood to Jerren and the quest will complete.
-If you however free the angel the quest will fail, leading you to:

Quest: The Light that Brightened the Darkness
-Freeing the Angel you forsake the demon worshipers and lose the ability to both access their troops and to summon demons;
.Leave the Mausoleum and descend into the Ritual Chamber. The angel will be at your side as well as some hallowed spirits;
-The Worshipers will decry your treason and attack. Kill them to continue;
-Killing the congregation will not please the demon they were trying to summon and both you and the angel must continue the fight against the demon in a giant cavern;
-Defeat the demon and you are free to leave. The angel will bid her farewell and your relations with the Church will go back to neutral. However, while there is no apparent reward a new location will replace the Isolated Chapel and inside you can earn the angel's spear.

Inquisition Questline:

Quest: Bring the Light to the Wicked
-Can be started by talking to Inquisitor Celestine after betraying the demon worshipers in one of the three instances listed above;
-After revealing the location of the demon worshipers the Inquisitor will depart to fight them. Return to the Isolated Chapel and you will find it under siege by Celestine and her forces;
-Join her assault and defeat the demon worshipers. After the Inquisitor will come and thank you, rewarding you with gold;
-The quest ends, however waiting a few days a courier will come to you with a message asking to meet someone at the ruins of the Isolate Chapel, in the Graveyard;
-Do so and you will be ambushed by some undead. Some reinforcemnets will however join you in the fight;
-Kill the undead and speak with your helper, Reyna of the Clocktower whom will reveal of being an agent of the Inquisition. She will then suggest you come to Inquistion Keep and meet Celestine.

Quest: The Witch Hunt
-After surviving the ambush speak with Celestine and Reyna in the Inquisiton Keep and they will ask if you would like to help them in pursuit of the demon worshipers;
-Agree and the quest will be given tasking you to go find a witch. Her lair will spawn near the village of Karindi;
-Reach the Witch in her abode and kill her. You will discover a letter pointing to bishop Jerren of the Church;
-Returnining to Inquistion Keep will reveal Celestine to be absent. In her place is her trustworthy apprentice Ervik who will ask you bring all the evidence you have near Old Gate;
-This reveleas to be a trap for Ervik's accomplices are demon worshipers. Defeat them and talk to Reyna whom will suggest you go to Jerren's Mansion near Heaven's Peak to find proof against the bishop while she seeks for aid.

Quest: The Bishop's Secrets
-Entering the bishop manor will put you into an hostile dungeon. At first you will face Crusaders and Parish Guards, but at the end of the dungeon you will face naught but demon worshipers;
-At the bottom of the Manor Dungeons you can Ervik again standing before the imprisoned inquisitor. Speak to him and he will panic and attack. Killing him will open Celestine's cell;
-Leave with the Inquistor who will ask you meet her in Rider's Lock for a secret meeting with Lady Avelyn of Vaultrec (NOTE: reached the castle you have to chose the option to "join a secret meeting". Going to the castle hall or talking to Avelyn elsewhere will not conintue the quest)
-Speak with Avelyn von Valutrec and she will suggest to take direct action against the bishop.

Quest: The Trap Springs
-Speaking with Lady Avelyn will reveal a new location on the map near Kirch, the "Ambush Site".
-Go there and you will join a night battle against the bishop and his forces. Killing the Bishop in his carriage will lead his men to surrender;
-The bishop will however be revealed naught but a decoy and so your plan fails and the relations with the Church will plummet. You can then decide to keep adiing the inquisitor or to renounce. If the latter, she will give you some gold as compensation;
-Chosing to continue to help will have the Inquisitor ask to meet her if you manage to find any more proofs against the worshipers. Reyna will also join your party and the quest completes.

Quest: Where the Wicked Perish
-After a few days from the last quest you will be approached by a ghost on the map who will tell you to go to the Isolated Chapel Mausoleum to find what you seek;
-In the Mausoleum you will find an entrapped angel who will then proceed to tell you of the location of Bishop Jerren so that you might deal with him once and for all. The angel will also join your party until the quest is over to aid in battle;
-(Optional) Return to Celestin and inform her of what happened. She will also lend her aid, joining your party with a contingent of inquisition troops;
-Face the Bishop in the Moorlands and finally defeat him. Celestine and the angel will leave your party but Reyna will remain until you dimiss her;
-After the battle is over Celestine will approach to thank you, rewarding you her silver sword. A new location will also spawn in place of the Isolated Chapel were you can get the angel's reward;
-The quest is over but after a few days you will be approached by a Church Envoy who will inform you that you are pardoned, setting the relations with the Church to +20.


Orimius White Questline

Quest: Book Hunt
-Can be started at any time by visiting the library of Herengest and talking to the npc there, agreeing to help him in research;
-You will be tasked to find a man named Wilfried Roth. You can learn of his location from tavern travelers;
-You will find Roth prisoner of some outlaws near the city of Selhof. To free him you will have to defeat his captors;
-Once fred no matter which dialogue option you chose you will get the book Father Arrel in Herengest asked you to retrieve;
-Return to Herengest Library to complete the quest earning some gold.

Quest: The Tomb of Orimius White
-Can be started from Father Arrel after completing the previous quest;
-Agree to help him once more and he will ask you to find the tomb of Orimius White, suggesting that Lady Avelyn von Vaultrec of Riders Lock can help you;
-Track down the Lady and explain what you are after. She will point you to a nearby tomb;
-The tomb is sealed and to open it you must first defeat the necromancer which haunts the surrounding area (NOTE: sometimes the necromancer and his army spawn on the opposite side of the mountains);
-You will find yourself into a small dungeon. What you are after is hidden behind an illusory wall on the left side of the tomb from the entrance. Hit it and it will disappear;
-At the end of the path there will be a sarcophagus working as a chest. Inside you will find both the book Father Arrel sent you to retrieve as well as a strange blade;
-Bring both artifacts back to Father Arrel in Herengest to complete the quest and earn some more gold.

Quest: Kidnapped
-After completing the last quest return to the library and you will find Father Arrel missing, in his place a scribe;
-When talked to the scribe will reveal himself a demon worshiper and try to kill you. Defeat him and you will get a map pointing to where Arrel is being imprisoned;
-Near Effalen you will find a cultist hideout. Descend into its depths to find the dungeons;
-Father Arrel will be inside. Free him and the quest will complete, immediately starting the follow up:

Quest: The Hour most Dire
-After freeing Father Arrel from the Cultist Hideout this quest will immediately begin. You will be tasked to go to a ruined monastery near Moorlands;
-Explore the monastery and reach the inner chamber were you will be confronted by a heretical high priest;
-After slaying him a demon will appear in the middle of the room. When talking to him you will have both the options to submit or to resist. Submitting will fail the current quest and start a new one, resisting will put you into a fight with the demon;
-While killing the demon in combat is hard but possibile, at this time the quest only continues if you get killed in battle. An event will trigger and the ghost of Orimius White will appear before you suggesting you head to the Chapel of Sanctification in Herengest;
-Head inside and speak with the angel to complete the quest and begin the next one.

Quest: To Banish an Archdemon
-Speaking with the Arbiter of Judgment in the Chapel of Sanctification will trigger this quest;
-YOu are tasked of defeating the archdemon and his army who are wandering around Halfords. You can also speak with the knight-inquisitor in the fortress to get some free crusader troops;
-Find the archdemon and kill him. You will get his sword;
-Bring the sword back to the Arbiter of Judgment to complete the quest. You will be rewarded with a spell to summon an angel, the helmet and cuirass of Saint Orimius White and an Angelic Sword.

Quest: The Path of Treachery
-This quest begins if you accept to bow before the archdemon in the quest "The Hour most Dire";
-The archdemon wants you to slay the angel in the Chapel of Sanctification in Herengest;
-go the Herengest and sneak to the chapel. You will have to fight your way inside were the angel will confront you;
-Defeating her will complete the quest and earn you a Wicked Blade, a spell to summon the archdemon as well as the helmet and cuirass of Orimius the Defiler. Your relations with the Church will take a significant hit.


Other Quests:

Quest: Undying love
-Can be started by speaking with lady Ella in Wittal's tavern when having 11 or more charisma;
-You will be asked to help her husband, the Marquis of Elbzig whom she belives having fallen to the charm of a witch. For this you will need the help of the archmages of the convent of Saint Invaris near Effalen;
-Inside the Convent speak with Armwacht. If you are of Imperial origin you can simply buy the amulet off him otherwise you will have to face his champion in a duel;
-After acquiring the amulet, head to Elbzig Castle. When approaching the fortress a knight will come to you;
-Depending on your persuasion level/luck the knight will either let you trough or attack.
-If the Knight attacks you then the Castle will be hostile. Heading inside you will be confronted by a guard captain and then by the marquis himself, leaving no choice but to kill him. You will then have to return to Ella to inform her of what happened. Minor changes will apply depending on what you tell her;
-If the Knight lets you trough then you will find the Marquis in the castle and can speak to him. He will then understand that he is been and wants to kill his seductress. You can either tell him to kill her or try to persuade him to not do this;
-If you let him kill her, then you will be awarded a Weldhauf Templar Sword and depending on your answer you can return to Ella and get the money she promised as well;
-If you persuade him to let her go then Ella will instead appear in the castle and try to kill the seductress herself. A persuasion check will determine the outcome:
-If failed, then both Ella and the Marquis will be killed and you will have to fight the seductress. With all 3 dead there is no reward and the line of Elbzig is over;
-If sucessful then Ella and the seductress will accept to live peacefuly with the Marquis who will award you his sword as well as allow you to recruit Elbzig units and purchase Elbzig Armors.

Quest: The Rise of the Count
-Can be started by talking with the Marquis of Elbzig if all 3 are alive at the end of the Undying Love quest;
-You will be tasked with checking on Count Dietrich, an old friend of the Marquis, who has quickly risen trough the ranks of the Weldhauf nobility;
-His manor near Yaragar is patrolled by hostile guards. Head inside and reach the main hall were Dietrich is;
-Speaking with him will make hostile unless you are a demon worshiper where you can instead decide to help him;
-If you help him you will be sent back to Castle Elbzig tasked to kill both the Marquis and his wife Ella. Doing so will reward you the Summon Succubus Spell;
-Otherwise you will have to kill him. This will get you his journal;
-Return to Castle Elbzig and speak with the Marquis to complete the quest and recieve your reward, an unique shield known as the Bastion of Elbzig.
-You will also have the choice to give the Marquis Dietrich's journal. If you don't give it to him you can either bring it to Inquision's Keep for some gold and relations with the Church or to Father Argust in the Isolated Chapel who will award you the Summon Succubus Spell.

Quests: The Gilded Knights and Mysteries of Winteroot Forest
-A duo of small quests that can be started by speaking with Cleric Donnel in Devilthorn lodge;
-You will be tasked to find a group of undead knights who have been spotted near the village of Uslum. Defeat them and return to the cleric for some gold reward;
-You will then be sent to investigate some old ruins in the forest near the village where you fought them earlier. The fortress is located around the lake;
-Explore the forest and kill the Ritual Master to complete the quest. Return to Donnel ro be awarded with his warhammer which heals on swing;
-(Optional) after killing the ritual master you can proceed deeper into the forest. here you will find an ancient swordmaster who will challenge you to a duel. Win and you will be awarded the Moonlight Greatsword (NOTE: winteroot forest will disappear as soon as you return to Donnel, so if you want the sword you will have to face the swordmaster before returning to Devilthorn lodge)


Quest: The Witch and the Huner/Cleric
-When entering the village of Mornsted in Ebenhof you will find yourself witness to a debate between a witch-hunter and a cleric were you can chose with whom to side, resulting in a different quest:
IF siding with the Witch-Hunter:
-You will be brought to the village and must ask the locals if they know anything about witches. Talking to Erika will reveal what you need to go back to the Wicht Hunter,
-An interrogation scene will take place after the Hunter wants you to talk to the locals again to gather approval for a burning. Speak with the town inhabitants with unique names and either try to convince them to support or oppose the burning trough persuasion checks;
-Depending on the approval rating, If high the burning will go without itch and the Hunter will reward you with a sword, pistol and gold, otherwise the town will riot. You can either side with the rioters or follow the Hunter out of the village;
-If you chose to follow the Hunter out of town he will then gather some troops and attack the village, asking that you support him. Once the village is razed he will reward you and end the quest.
IF siding with the cleric:
-You will explore the village countryside and be asked to look around. Speaking again with the cleric will trigger the rest of the conversation even if you don't spot anything. High Magic Power or Spotting skill will instead give you an additional answer that will earn you some xp. After this you and the cleric proceed to the village;
-Once again you will be asked to talk with the locals. Eventually you will be directed to a grumpy farmer whom when accused will try to attack you. Defeat him and return to the village and he will confess the location of a cove of witches. Reporting this information to the Clerc will allow you to chose to either try and bargain with the witches or to outright attack their hideout;
-Chosing to attack the witches will lead to a small fight at the end of which you will discover something that will trigger a conversation with the cleric, revealing one of the witches to be his wife. However this witch is absent and while the cleric might now of her location he wants you to drop this matter and offers gold for your silence. A high persuasion skill is required to have him reveal this location.
-Either way, by following the coast from Ebenhof to Styrrin you will be able to find a new location. Here you will find the cleric again next to a grave. As he is explaing what happened the Witch-Hunter will come to mock him. You can either kill him or spare him, in the end you will recieve the Cleric's mace as reward
-Chosing to try and bargain with them will lead to the witches challenging you to a game of riddles. Answer correcyly and they will surrender, otherwise you will have to fight them. In the end however the quest resolves and the cleric awards you his mace. (The riddle answers are: Human, Oxes, Snake, Coscience)

Quests: The Disappeared, The Scholar's Mansion, The Temple of the Drowned
-A trio of quests that can be started by finding the abandoned village in Nelia and agreeing to help Ellerie the Crow in her investigations to find the culprit;
-Your first task is to search for a group of slavers who are said to be in the area. Asking at Thieves Guild will give you an hint for where to look;
-No matter what, the slavers will attack you. After they are defeated, one of their prisoner will come forth and reveal that a mad scholar is behind all of this;
-Telling Ellerie about the scholar will reveal the location of his manor. Heading inside you will be unable to leave and no matter what you chose, the scholar and his guards will turn hostile. You are supposed to lose the fight here, so managing to defeat them will softlock the quest;
-You will be rescued from the manor dungeons by Ellerie and togheter you must climb up to the main hall were you shall find the scholar's journal;
-This will lead you to the Drownyard temple, a location on the coast just outside of Elgaud Grounds;
-You will have to fight your way to a tower guarded by many cultists. Inside you will face the scholar again. Defeat him to conclude the quest.

Quest: A mockery of life
-Can be started by finding the Ancient Crypt near Heaven's Speak and speaking with the Lich inside. (Note: if you start as a ghoulcaller apprenentice, the lich will not give the quest allowing you to make use of his service immediately)
-You must travel to the town of Heaven's Peak and infiltrate the tomb of a clergyman and steal his remains. Once that is done, return to the Lich to be awarded with a Grimoire which will allow you to perform necromantic rites.

Quest: Beyond Death, part I and II
-If you have 8 or more magic power you can ask the Lich of the Ancient Crypt how to turn yourself into a lich- He will agree to help you out. NOTE: Vampires cannot become liches;
-You will be sent all the way to Sofya in Proekylov were you must talk with a man named Dragutin. The necromancer will however attack you, mentioning this was all a trap;
-The ancient crypt will now be hostile to you. Explore deep into the cryots and find the lich archive were an undead ghost will give you information on how to perform a ritual to obtain lichdom, requring a chalice and the remains of a powerful undead;
-The Chalice can be found in a small shrine in Stygia, guarded by a few Crusaders, the powerful udeand is the treacherous lich who can be found patrolling around the Ancient Crypt at the head of a large host of undead;
-When you have both items, return to the ancient crypt and perform the ritual. You will have to navigate in a dark maze filled with enemies and destroy a shade. After this is done, you will become a lich, lowering relations with all human factions, but gaining a powerful set of robes, discount necromancy items, as well as the ability to summon grave guardians and to recruit wandering undead on the map for free
