Brave testers are needed to fix the Others save-game crash!

I don't get the Others crash so I can't test if it is fixed. For those of you getting the crash, please replace your campaign_script.txt with this new file and report back in the comments. The sooner we test this the sooner I release the patch. Thanks!

script didn't do anything, as soon as you pick a faction at the start and hit start it instantly crashes. Was the file meant to be in the text folder ?

I reinstall the mod (without changing the script) and it still crashed on my save game. I have two campaign script files. "campaign_script hotseat" and one just say "campaign_script" Do i change one or both? And which one do i change?

You just replace campaign_script. That's very strange. Some other people claim it works... Try opening the campaign_script.txt file and deleting all the contents (ctrl-a, delete). Then try again and see if you get save corruption by turn 30 or so. None of the other scripts will work, but just to make sure it is a scripting issue. Thanks for the help!

Is the campaign_script.txt hardcoded into savegame file? I got the error :

[game.script] [error] Script execution error for <siege_settlement>, at line 23794, in mods/Petty_Kings_3/data/world/maps/campaign/
imperial_campaign/campaign_script.txt: Attacker <others> cannot siege settlemnt <Nightfort>.

And the same log entrance for the line 23827. So I deleted from script those parts [;Move To the Wall (after get new army) and ;Attack the Wall ]. Unfortunately, when I try to load my saves, log entrances are the same.

I tried and did not work I did edit the medieval2.preference but I don't know if that effected the game like this. Please get a patch since this is my favorite mod.

Seems to work for me, however it appears as though once I've conquered a faction I can't recruit their units. Played as Starks and took all bolton and dustin settlements, can only recruit stark units that I had at the start, no bolton or dustin units. Not a big problem, having a ton of fun otherwise.

I have the exact same problem. If i use the new script no lore comes up and the seasons are exactly like vanilla. if i conquer a faction there units never appear and the others never turn up. If i use the original script the i get the corrupted save game by around turn 40.

My apology for taking the liberty to do some experiments.

There is an error with Runeland Crossbowmen. Whenever you choose that unit in custom battle or have it in campaign battle, it will crash exactly when the real time tactical battle finishes loading.

Gr8 mod, i love it :)
i just have one problem (with both 2.0 and 3.0).
in 3.0 patch early in game it just crashes at one point and i get a pop up "Medieval 2 total war has encountered an unspecified error and will now exit."
Can someone help me with that?

I put the file in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\ common\Medieval II Total War\mods \Petty_Kings_3\data\world\maps \campaign\imperial_campaign

I allowed the others to take the wall and the CTD persists. I carried on from a save about 3 turns before the others took the wall. Should have have done a complete restart?

Otherwise everything is working as it was before. I hope you can get to the bottom of this because your mod is awesome. Still it gives me a chance to try out a few different factions.
