I have finally made a Random Map for Wars of Middle Earth. I present...
A valley of rugged land with moderate forests. Deer and silver mines fill the map. There are always two native villages, either Woodsmen or Beornings. Players start in a circle around the map. Wide open land offers constant raids and warfare.
All the native villages in this modification offer slight bonuses.
For every Woodsmen technology that you research, you receive 1 crate of 100 wood. They have two units, Bowman of the Woods & Huntsman.
Bowman of the Woods is an archer whose melee damage matches its ranged damage. The Huntsman is a strong villager that can only gather from herdables, huntables and trees.
Overall it is a simple map. It may be fun to some and boring to others.
A special thanks to AOE_Fan for helping me with this map.
In the near future I will showcase the Beornings.
Now THOSE are some high-quality icons! Love them.
I have a question: I assume this to be a total conversion, haven't been up to date with the mod's development so I ask, to what extent do you plan change the game? I'm talking in the sense of UI and elements of similar nature, like or example: the Native village icon at the top-right corner.
Very good! :D I hope that there will be different units in this outposts because of the territory...for e.g. in elven lands this units instead os beornings and woodsmen could be elves and in maps from the old kingdom of Arnor could be hobbits and Dunedain ;) think about that...and also one thing, try to change the population capacity...i would like to have more troops fighting for me and more enemies to kill :) ....anyway continue the good work
New map or maybe maps is very coool!!
What if you're playing as an "evil" faction? Will you still be able to recruit these units?
