hey guys, thanks for taking the time to read this. As you might know i am in the process of making the legion mod.
What i have done so far:
pretty much i have been making one new unit for each faction and a hero. At this point of time i dont think the zerg will have a new unit as it was super hard to find all the models and other parts to make them a working faction (if any of you have models you want to give me or let me know about feel free to) but i was greatful that people gave me models to use.
Why dose it take things so long to be made and released?
well believe it or not its just me. When people say to me you and your team or company have done a great job i laugh because i wish i had a team. Honestly if i had a team this mod could of been done 2 years ago. But then i think if i had a team it would take away the pride of my own work. I have asked for peoples help in the past and some offer to help but never get back to me :( but i do not want to cause drama. Another reason is because i am still a student and have to work on major assignments and stuff so it's hard to juggle everything at once.
Will the marines ever be playable and if so when will they come out?
i really hate to say this but i don't think they will be a proper playable race. They buildings are super buggy, you have to do a fully unit select just to click on them, you can't just right click on them. Another big problem is the lack of starcraft models, sadly i am only as good as my resources :( i can only make the best with what i have. BUT again if you guys have any models or webistes you want to give me feel free to.
When can i play with all the factions on EVERY map?
i get asked this a lot and the answer is that when i have completely finished all the units and factions. This is because with warcraft, you have to make the units in the builder then extract it. So if i started doing it now you will have a broken mess and not fully made factions. And after i have finished making the mod, i have to extract over 300 units...... yeah not the funest of things to do, if you think thats crazy, i have over 1700 files in my import folder for the map. BUT i will make maps for it in the mean time i will just get the new units sorted first.
Why can't i play with my friends?
the map file is way too big. If this was on the starcraft 2 engine it would play this without a sweat. But since this is warcraft 3 a game that came out in 2002 can't handle that much stuff. When i made the legion just for fun back in 2013 i was exited to take it over to my friends and play it...... and it never worked.
How can you support me?
pay for my school fees and life!! just joking but feedback and support is always appreciated. Go follow me on twitter when i am not being hacked and the indian navy and a law company is following me... must be doing something right aha. or sub to me on youtube is a good way too. i always thought about starting a patrion account but i am uncertain.
What made you want to do this mod?
back when i was young i always loved making maps and i always edited the tower defense games and played warcraft 3 flat out and made custom maps to play with my friend. And i started making a tower defense game and i stopped making it after a while. Make sense out of that if you can because i sure didn't :P
Where to after this mod?
