I've posted three main features we'd like to implement into Violation Flemoid. Ideas are continually changing and growing, but I wanted to know what you guys thought of them before we invested too much time into solidifying the finer points. Each of them will require quite a modification to the internal code, so if they're not going to be fun at all, I can't see the point in wasting time fleshing out the ideas in the first place.
Each link directs you to the Features page of this mods profile, so they can easily be found there as well.
The first one is the Lock-On System.
I think that implementing a fresh Lock-On system could lead to some interesting new possibilities of subsets within existing genres.
The second is more details about the Combat System.
The most repeated action in any fighting game is it's Combat System. It'd better be fun, or people will stop playing after five minutes.
The third is about soundtrack. I want to create a Dynamic Music Score.
Because a game is going to be a bit different every time it's played, it's nearly impossible to compose a dramatic song. Currently we're limited to inane loops and ambient noises. I think this can change.
Have a look at those, and tell me what you think. I look forward to the comments.
