We have tried to alter Starcraft as much as possible without disturbing the delicate balence of the game. 1.8 was the most tested release of the game so far and the three races (regaurdless of vast changes) stand toe to toe on a level playing field.

Not realy, but here are two reasons for what I did:
1) If we exclude people who don't have keys, then I lose about half the people who play starcraft. Considing the audience for starcraft mods is so small already... You get my point.
2) Take me as an example: I've bought starcraft twice now. First CD key got lost, second one suddenly stopped working saying someone else was using it... I'm not going to buy anouther copy of the game i've paid for twice. I shouldn't have to either. So a few hackers forced us all to use CD keys, and now people who legitimately own the game often can't even play it anymore without buying a second copy...
3) Bnet can often be more laggy than hamachi and hamachi allows you to control who is in your network alot better. So you don't have to keep passwording every game. It has alot to do with convinence.
Soo? Are we encouraging playing games without CD-keys now?
I assume it's not too much trouble to own the game in order to play the mods on it Or does this mod not work on battle.net?
