A mod where you can play with two characters! You need Undertale 1.08 (steam or gog or win10 or collector's edition or 1.08c version) for the patch to work!
honestly it's really hard to set up online so in my opinion. you have to use vpns just to play online..

Using the dialogue changes version for my friend and I’s first-ever playthrough, and it’s been working fantastically! So glad that something like this came along, and gave our easily distracted-selves some assurance that we’ll actually be able to stick with this game ‘til the end!
