Some clarification and information about our future actions

  • First of all, i want to warn all of you that NOT ALL stuff you can see on screenshots will appear in next 1-2 updates. Currently we're working on version 1.7 but also in parallel we're working on our "full version" with new big map, many factions and other shit; some things on the pictures are made exactly for that full version and we posted them to show some progress. There is some stuff that just can't be included in upcoming versions yet, so don't expect to see in v1.7 everything you could possibly imagine looking at few cool screenshots. However, as you know, developing new version doesn't mean only working with new factions, but it also means improving old ones and fixing bugs. So, if something will not meet your expectations, it may get better in next updates (or not lol).
  • Second, considering v1.7 isn't coming soon, i decided to port v1.5 to latest nightly patch compatible with In_Vain's scene pack. It's a fact that v1.5 is buggy af and it's my fault. It would be fair to let you at least to play good v1.5 without bugs and problems (i hope everything will be okay this time) while waiting for next update. I think v1.5.1 will be released in few days (hopefully).
  • Third, there is a probability that mod's name will be changed in the future. PROBABILITY. Can't tell any details, but it may possibly happen.

Nice! Good to know you're keeping your mod up-to-date! :)
FYI, we did a lot of reorganizing in the item and troops file, in order to free up some item slots within the factionized item range. We tried to comment on this extensively, but feel free to ask us if anything seems strange to you.

Also, since I've started updating scenes, again, I'll need to update my submod, too, hopefully soon. So I'd suggest you wait for that update.

Thanks man! I think i will probably release v1.5.1 with 2.1d version of scene pack, BUT i still fix bugs and it will dfinitely take few more days (it's better to waste more time, but make it better, right?), so if new version of scenes will come, i'll use it, why not.
Also, i'd like to ask you to explain me some details of "reorganizing in the item and troops file". I think i understand what you mean here, but i'm not 100% sure...

Scenes: Without that update, the submod will have some bugs in scenes, like floating or buried buildings. I hope to release the update next week, but I guess you could also fix it yourself .It's mainly about updating terrain codes, compare beorn's house (scn_woodmen_village2 or so) and orc patrol camp (scn_cirith_ungol, for some reason).
Items: Just have a look at the beginning of module_troops. You'll see a bunch of definitions like: itm_whiterobe = (itm_rohan_armor_th, imod_bent). If you look up these items in module_items, you'll notice that we grouped several items together via item modifiers. This allows us to include a greater variety of models and/or free some item slots that we can use for other things.
I don't know which items or troops you have changed in v1.5, so maybe this doesn't even affect your mod, but I thought I'd mention this to avoid confusion.
