We are thrilled to announce the release of a public demo/alpha/early access for Tiberian Sun: Rubicon. In fact it was released already a few days ago during Tiberian Sun's 24th anniversary, but I didn't have the time to write up this news post until now, sorry about that.
What is Rubicon?
For those of you who only now hear about Rubicon: It's a standalone mod for Command & Conquer® Tiberian Sun® (meaning you don't need to own TS in order to play). The aim of this project is simple: to shape Tiberian Sun into what it should have been. This includes revising everything from graphics to gameplay, while keeping it true to the original.
Base under attack! The perimeter has been breached, but GDI forces have moved in to intercept.
Early Access Features
This release contains the following:
- First batch of revised singleplayer campaign missions (first 4–5 missions depending on the faction) and tutorial missions
- Enhanced and rebalanced skirmish/multiplayer
- Restored and improved cut content (Dropship loadout, Dropship Bay, Comm. Center, and more)
- New and improved graphics and sound effects
- New and improved skirmish/multiplayer maps
- Quality-of-Life improvements
and more.
Payback time! GDI launches an attack on a Nod base in the arctic theater.
