A WW1 full conversion mod for Command and Conquer Generals: Zero Hour, that will be using art and code from the long forgotten mod, The Great Trench War. I plan on making this mod as historically accurate and realistic as possible. I also plan on including the factor of Moral for infantry. This mod is also for vanilla Generals. I havent been working on it very long, and any help with skinning and/or modeling is welcome.

Welcome to the Trenches.
Welcome to the first newscast for the Zero Hour version of the mod (its also for vanilla Generals).

The general setting;
This mod is going to be based completely off of World War One, and will be as realistic as possible.
Tanks are powerful, and are hard to take out. But they're slow, expensive, and easy target for artillery. Airplanes have long visual range, but are very weak. And they wont be the only thing in the sky. The Infantry are valiant, and good marksmen. But a single artillery shell can send many home in a wooden box, if they are ever found. For King and Country!

I need skinners and modelers, people who just want to do one piece or who want to stay until the completion of the mod.

The list of completed models is slowly growing larger, but none of the new models have skins. If you have any skinning experience with any games, or if your just a good artist (on a computer), I would like to hear from you.
If you don't have experience with skinning in games or with C&C , I can help get you started, as I know where to get the resources needed to skin in Command and Conquer.

As far as modeling, any help is welcome. As I don't need modelers as critically as I do skinners, I may be slightly choosey as far as what models get into the mod. Same as skinning, I know where to get resources if you don't have them for generals, but have modeling experience with other games.

Even if you don't think your work will be accepted, go ahead and try sending it to me. Even if I don't like it (would have to be rather bad for that to happen, lol), I'll still try to help you out, or say how you might be able to do better next time.

If you would like to get into C&C skinning/modeling from scratch, I can tell you where to get everything, and help with installing it. And some tips on how to model. I hardly know anything about actually making skins, just what you need to do it. You can probably get some help on different forums, such as Cnclabs.com and Cncden.com .

Status Update
In other news, progress is still slow, but it is ongoing. I have 22 (I think) models left to go, not including damaged or upgraded models(i don't know if i will have different models for upgrades yet). Also, any criticism on my models/ideas/etc. is welcome, it will only help make the mod better!

Also, just wanted to say, all the old photos i get are off the internet, via Google Image Search. I get them from different historical-oriented sites when I can, as to avoid making anyone mad about copyright stuff. (As far as I'm concerned, anything circa WW1 is owned by the world, as it is world history. But then again, I'm not a lawmaker, so people might be able to still own this stuff :/).

Until next time,
Rrta
