The Sith Wars II is a era mod for Star Wars Battlefront II and sequel to last year's The Sith Wars. This mod will bring back the signature force and saber hero combat, with blaster units integrated into the mod. While TSW 1 focused on multiplayer combat, The Sith Wars II is optimized for singleplayer. The mod is set in the open space after Disney's removal of the original Legends timeline, and takes places thousands of years before the Battle of Yavin.

I came into this mod thinking it'd be an amazing mod, and when I first played it for a bit I thought it was. However the more I played it the more disappointed I became with it. And it's all simply due to game balance. Playing as the empire is a pathetic joke. You stand 0 chance against the Brotherhood. I can only beat them because I'm a decade old BF2 player who knows a lot about the game. But the Brotherhood is broken. Their blocking makes it nearly impossible for the average player to land shots unless the AI just starts being dumb and disables their block. Blocking should take FAR more stamina MUCH faster and the regen time on Brotherhood stamina should be lowered. Throw a grenade you say? Sometimes. But most of the time it's to just cut them off from getting closer to you instead of killing them, because they can get away from the grenade safely with a single jump or even just walking out of the way. And the special units for the Brotherhood, oh God it removes every single shred of balance their is. Sith Marauder gets saber throw with FULL sprint speed and multiple force jumps? No, that's completely broken. Lightsaber throws makes the one weakness the Brotherhood has gone, range. It can tear throw multiple troops instantly. You can make the argument that if they miss, they can get shot. However it's INCREDIBLY easy to land with saber throws. But not only that, we also have full sprint speed and force jumps? No, just no. The force powers for the other 2 special units of the Brotherhood are fine. However the sprint and force jumps need to be removed from them as well. Also the heroes are broken. Heroes take WAAAAAYYYYYY too much damage and some of their force powers are broken along with it. Like the Darth whatever (the guy with the hood but with no mask) on the Brotherhood side. He has that one yellow force move that when detonates, sends you flying and when you land it takes forever for you to get up so you can easily get slashed. And it can be spammed over and over. Combine that with the broken health he has, it's horrible. That health would be fine for a hero with a gun, but heroes with sabers? No... And once again with the Brotherhood, the guy with the saber staff that has force bolt... That is the single most broken force move in this mod. It's force lightning that sends you flying. You can stick someone against a wall to where they can't move and spam force bolt. You can hit them once with it, sprint to them while they are getting up and slash them or hit them with another. This also heavily affects Legends mode because of how broken Force Bolt is (however not nearly to the same extent since you can saber block it.) But not only do these things make playing against the Brotherhood as the Empire cancerous, but it makes playing as the Brotherhood WAAAYYYYYY too easy. Like I said, I can still beat the Brotherhood every time due to my extensive knowledge and skill of the game. However the average player would have a horrible time trying to win as the Empire and it would ruin the fun. Then when you play as the Brotherhood, you effortlessly capture all CPs and win instantly. Even if you have CP capture turned off via fake console, you can still easily slaughter the units with 0 effort. Also Force Lightning on the Sith Sorcerer needs to be slightly reduced in range as well. It's just a tad bit too high.

As for the Brotherhood vs the Jedi Order, it seems pretty balanced overall.

Now onto non balancing issues... I think this era should be on every stock map (which it is not.) Also I think the Sith Legends gametype should be on every map the era is on (which it's not.) It's only exclusive to a few maps.

Overall this mod is fun at first, but gets instantly frustrating/annoying/boring due to the gameplay balancing issues. Hopefully you take some of my balancing suggestions into consideration. So again, I'll post the suggestions in order of what I think should be fixed first.

Stamina should drain twice as fast when blocking with a saber.

Stamina regen time should be reduced for Brotherhood.

Saber heroes need far less health.

Force Bolt needs to somehow by fixed or removed. Maybe if it's possible, make recovery time when getting off the ground sped up? Oh and also make it where 1 force bolt takes all stamina so you can't wall rape someone by pinning them to the wall and spamming it.

Also, I don't remember if any of the special units have force choke, but if they do I think you should remove it since you can immobilize someone and walk over to them and slash them.

Even though this mod has serious flaws, I still have a ton of faith in it since this is only the first version. I wish you guys luck. This mod has serious potential.

Masterpiece, even for a brand new mod! Custom faction emblems, excellent models.

I think it is good but there is one problem. The sounds, some maps they are messed up on.

mod is dope as hell. my only complaint is out of all the badass sith that arent in here(marka ragnos,naga sadow,freedon nadd,exar kun,vitiate,malgus,zannah,plagueis, ventress etc) they choose crylo ren instead. still definitely worth downloading though. also does anyone know where i can find the mod that this one is a sequel to?
edit-nvm found it. word of advice anyone that wants to have both on the game on the same time for me it seems i can only have one version of the mod at once

This mod is for the most part good but there is a few things bringing it down.

1. All electricity force powers are overused. If the A.I. has the opportunity to it will continuisly spam lightning which is annoying because the Sith Empire doesn't have a force lightning power and it immobilises you in a way that makes you so unprotected that you might aswell stop trying. It is absolute BS. It' even worse on the Sith Legends mode.
2. Extremely hard for the Sith Empire to win. Firstly a single hit from a lightsaber stuns you to the point where you can't move and this is really BS when 5/6 Sith Empire classes don't have said lightsaber. Now a simple rebuttal to this is that they have ranged weapons which while true isn't a good argument because their blocking hasn't been nerfed a single bit from base game values. You either have to time it like it's some Dark Souls boss and not a standard unit everyone has access to. So the only way to kill them is to go from the behind at which point they turn around and start blocking or do it like it's a Dark Souls boss, but there is 12 of them facing you at the moment.
3. The support of the game mode on other maps is quite limited.

This is the kind of mod I want. It was created with quality (Some balancing issues) But overall a great mod. Plus the mod is semi brand new, how often do you get a brand new mod for bf2 in 2016?!
