This total-conversion mod takes the Battle for Middle-earth II to the Fifth Century BCE, replacing the original content with two new, fully-fledged factions: Sparta and Athens. Completely new content, strategies and more awaits you. This project is brought to you by Kwen, Matias, Lauri, njm1983, Glaeken and Mike who are hosted at the3rdage.net, a division of revora.net.

Will this support multiplayer? I sort of want to pick up BFME2 for this, but if it's just skirmishes against the AI, what's the point?

Well, a few weeks into development, EA shut down their online support for the BFME series.

By the time of release, we intend to set up our own multiplayer support through Tunngle.net

We'll see how it goes.

They are huge, yes. Therefore you'll have to make careful decisions in which buildings you build and where you place them.

The farm radius is smaller then EA made BFME2's, So there is a bit of breathing room when it comes to the farms. But yes, on some maps, making an efficient base will most likely end up with a very tetris-looking layout.

But the tetris look would be much more realistic than random scatered buildings as Im sure many people do with the regular game
