Total-conversion mod for SWBF2 that adds the Mass Effect era to Instant Action. You can fight as the Systems Alliance, the Heretic Geth, the Collectors, or the Evolved Geth on six new custom maps, all of the stock maps, and all maps from the Sol Map Pack.
Here's an updated look at the HUD.
Notes:
- The points/kills counters no longer fade away and disappear, making them finally useful for a change!
- Added a deaths counter.
- In the 'blank' font that replaces and hides the stock font, characters with umlauts (e.g., ü, ö) are still strangely unaffected. As a result, in the localization, I'm considering replacing all instances of the characters with their "direct spellings" (e.g., ue instead of ü, oe instead of ö). A decision has not yet been made.
- I've added an option in the Config Tool to disable/enable the Custom HUD. By default, it will be enabled.
Thoughts / comments / suggestions?
Have you tried making a more primitive radar system like on mass effect 2, so you can only see the locations of enemies but not the layout of the map?
Ugh, I wish. Unfortunately there's not much we can do at all in terms of the minimap because of the way we're implementing the HUD. :(

would be exited for female units, on the mercs maybe? but i understand the impracticalities of it. Is it possible (not suggesting that you do all the tedious **** necessary)to have a female version of each class and a say 1 in 3 chance of spawning as a female?
That's always been our plan (with a 1/3 chance to spawn as a female marine). We just never got our hands on the female model. Our unit modeler had to leave, got too busy with life.

I like how you guys make the soldiers stand, but when they start running that stopping, it looks a bit weird (probably because its the vanilla running animations)
Are you guys gonna make a running animation for the units to make it looks more mass effect-ish?
It's simply not possible to make running physics and animations emulate SWBF2. God I wish it was.

It's nice to be back with a new computer and a total of 2197 updates. I'm glad you're back at this Marth. :) This, a Halo mod, and the WWII mod keep me at SWBF2. The day you finish will be bittersweet.
Great work so far, wish you did the M7 Lancer noises instead of the Avenger, but great work so far!
