there is a way to leave it vanilla still right? I don't like the big blue boxes on everything, like the unofficial patch includes. It is distracting to me.

There will be an option to disable it via the config tool, yes. I definitely know what you mean, though. The 1.3 patch HUD looks absolutely awful and ugly (sorry to whoever designed it). However, I am trying to make mine as non-intrusive as possible - but those graphic elements that you mentioned are necessary in order for the text to actually be legible. :)

Suggestions are always welcome, by the way!

well the box around the weapons isn't too bad, maybe reduce the opacity a bit, but I feel that the boxes around the tooltips on the top, and around the reinforcement and health bars are unneeded. There are no borders on those things in the vanilla game, just change the text color to white, or some other color that stands out, but is not too in your face or something lol.

The tooltips actually do have black gradient marquee-style "strip" border-type thing, but that's beside the point. I'm actually still considering removing the tooltips altogether, lol, but I'll see what I can do about them.

Regarding the health bar border, it's there because that's how it's like in Mass Effect. Img1.wikia.nocookie.net
It wouldn't really feel right without it, but I think I can still move it up some.

In fact, I think I'll probably just decrease font size for the tooltips and move its art element upwards a bunch in order to make room for moving the target info border upwards.

True, but the health bar seems a lot larger than it really needs to be Imo, you could reduce the height of the bar itself by near half if you wanted to, and it would still look fine for this. It just seems too large here for some reason, but that could just be me.

And yea, again IMO, you could just completely remove the tooltips, if you liked battlefront II enough to be playing it today, and especially know how to mod it, they probably know how to play it already

We could always do multiple variants of the HUD, letting you choose between them. Personally I wouldn't want the enemy health bar sized decreased, it's so hard to see in vanilla. Tooltips could stay or go.

very true, though you could always make your version, and if minimalist people like me could just use vanilla if you don't feel like making multiple

If you add Reaper enemies, you should TOTALLY add a Marauder Shields reference to the new HUD!

Description

Hey guys. I thought I'd update you all on what I've been doing over the past three months. Here's one small part of what I've gotten done in my spare time in the middle of school.

Design blueprint: Dropbox.com

As it turns out, I'm unfortunately apparently unable to move the minimap (using Anakin's HUD implementation workaround) so its position on the design blueprint will have to be swapped with the ticket counter elements.
