I'm trying to use the Config Tool, but whenever I put the folder that the xml file is in, it says that "Access to this path is denied" is there a way to fix this?

Could you provide the following information:

  • Operating system
  • Mod installation directory (e.g., J:\LucasArts\Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData\addon\ME5)
  • Mod installation directory read/write permissions (e.g., Puu.sh)

OS: Windows 10

Mod installation directory: C:\Users\Jorge Antonio\Desktop\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData\Addon\ME5

Read/Write Permissions: Puu.sh

Hmm, interesting. Have you tried running the Config Tool as an administrator?

Could you please post a screenshot of the error message?

Also, try creating another Steam library directory directly on the root of your C: drive (e.g., C:\SteamLibrary) and installing the game there. The issue might be the fact that it's being run out of a user account directory.

Adversely, you could try moving the entire ConfigTool folder (in GameData\addon\ME5\data\_LVL_PC) to the root of your C: drive (so it looks like C:\ConfigTool). If you do this, you'd need to re-set the config file location, as well as probably the flag directory location and batch-file directory location, all of which is done through the "Tools" menu in the Config Tool.
