The American Revolution Mod (T.A.R. Mod for short) is a complete overhaul for Empire Total War. It allows the player to replay the American Revolutionary War fielding a massive roster of units drawn straight from history! The AI is based on DarthMod with option for using Bran Mac Born's AI tweaks. T.A.R. Mod also comes complete with several custom campaigns and support for the original Empire campaigns. All that topped off with the T.A.R. Launcher and Management system with selectable options so can tailor the mod to your liking. With over a hundred thousand downloads over the previous years, T.A.R. has been rebuilt from the ground up and re-released in 2019 with the The American Revolution Mod Tenth Anniversary Edition! No longer in beta and with all the old stability issues addressed plus new campaigns and features added, the American Revolution Mod Tenth Anniversary Edition is sure to please!

It's been a LONNNNNNNG time coming but here's a patch to fix long standing issues with the Options Menu in the Launcher and true fix for the Uninstaller. (Finally!) Even the the old uninstaller hotfix was broken. This 2018 Update will correct those issues.

2018 Update


The American Revolution Mod Launcher Issues Corrected:

Grenades Option fixed
Artillery Fast Reload Option fixed (was causing TAR missing files error)
Enlarged Deployment Zones Enabled option fixed
Fonts Size option fixed
Unit Pack Compatibility updated to latest version as of December 2018
Uninstaller Fixed


Installation Instructions (Updated Dec 2018):

1. - Uninstall any old versions of TAR that you may have installed.
2. - Insure that vanilla is working, verify ETW Files as needed
3. - Install TAR 2.0 Public Beta 2 (but don't start the Launcher yet!)
4. - Install the TAR 2.0 Public Beta 2018 Update
5. - Use The American Revolution Mod icon on your desktop to Configure and Play!
(Please Note: the TAR Launcher needs to stay open while playing the mod!)
