Tauntaun is a custom map manager for Star Wars: Battlefront II (2005).
This is a pre-release build. Please leave feeback if you have any and let me know if you find any bugs. May the Fourth be with you!
Features:
- Manage currently installed maps.
- Download and install new maps.
- Pulls together download methods for existing maps into a single application.
- Supports downloads from ModDB.
- Supports extraction of ZIP, RAR and 7ZIP archives.
- Supports external installers in EXE format.
Installation:
Tauntaun can be installed by downloading this file and unzipping it. Run 'Tauntaun.exe' to start the program.
In the 'Settings' section of the app you must specify your game's 'addon' folder. This is located under 'GameData' and, if you don't already have one, you must create it. If you've downloaded any previous mods or maps, you should already have one.
For Steam users it is typically found at:
`C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData\addon`
While a regular Windows install usually places it at:
`C:\Program Files (x86)\Lucas Arts\Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData\addon`
Requirements:
Tauntaun is developed in C# using Visual Studio 2019. It requires .NET Framework 4.7.2 (https://dotnet.microsoft.com/download/dotnet-framework/net472) to run.
This tool has been tested on Windows 10 Home.

Impressive!
Very interesting! I'll love to test this and see how it fares against NMir's mod loader.

May i ask for a custom path to put the zipped mods? Kind of an archive where i have the mods that i previously downloaded on my own.
