"Make Peace or Die" “Talon 1-5” is a story-driven single-player and co-op mod that aims to combine realism and combat tactics with a science-fiction environment. It will put players into a war to end all wars where they will have to think in order to survive. Taking inspiration from history as well as imagination, we will strive to tell a story about the infantrymen and women of the early 22nd century and how they must persevere for survival and victory like all the Marines who preceded them. The story centers around an 12-man special forces squad, codenamed “Talon” attached to the 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment of the United States Marine Corps. Here is the Chinese PLA Light Infantryman. Make
sure to kill him before he kills you.
Very cool! It reminds me of starship troopers ^_^ i cant wait to see the full blown 3D render.
interchangeable arms? lol
Haha! No mate, that's just so the modeller can see the side clearly!
very very nice!
Awesome! Helmet could use some extras though, like a visor.
We may put a visor on him, this is as-of-yet undecided.
nice, I like the futuristic camo texture!
and no visor pls, visors are for pilots.
Well, the thing with the visor is that, eye protection is becoming pretty standard in modern militaries. Soldiers and Marines in Iraq have field-issue goggles but many of them also carry shooter glasses for either the sun or dust and dirt that is kicked up by combat.
Our US troops, both Marine and Army, will have deployable visors built in to their helmets. They will serve several functions: not only as eye protection but as light enhancement and thermal imaging lenses. However, the PLA are designed not really with the troop's welfare in mind, so the lack of visor is appropriate for the light infantry.
needs insignia, but it looks very nice so far.
