Inspired by TES II: Daggerfall and set after King Lysandus death at the battle of Cryngaine Fields, this mod is centered around the Iliac Bay, allowing you to visit northern Hammerfell and all of High Rock, where you can either help one of the breton and redguard kingdoms to aquire hegemony or to carve your own domain in the province.

BE WARNED: SPOILERS!

Quest Guide updated for Aedra and Daedra.

Quest: An Old Tome.
-can be started at any time by either speaking with the Shady Merchant in Dwynnen and asking him about the mages guild or by talking to a priest of Arkay in the temples in towns. Some slight variation will happen depending on your quest giver.
-Agree to help him and a graveyard will spawn nearby on the map. The graveyard itself is a small dungeon. Depending on your quest giver you will either face priests of Arkay or undead. Reach the inside to find the old tome in the last room guarded by a high level enemy.
-Once retrieved head to the village of Hagfena. Nearby you should see the accomplices of the merchant. Speak with them and be ready for a fight.
-Once you defeated them nothing will immediately happen. If you speak with the merchant again he suggests that the temple of Arkay might interested in buying it otherwise wait around and a messanger will eventually reach you bringing word from the King of Worms.
-If you wait for the messanger you will get an invitation to speak with Mannimarco in Scourg Barrow (even if you are helping the temple of Arkay). His dungeon will be revelaed on the map.
Note: you can only give the book to either Mannimarco or the Temple of Arkay. Not both. Helping one or another will you lock out of the opposing questline.

----TEMPLE OF ARKAY QUESTLINE----

Quest: Chrysamere.
-Prerequisite: give the book from the "An Old Tome" quest to the priest of Arkay in any Order of Arkay and agree to help them.
-The priest will send you to a small dungeon near Woodborne Hall. At the end of it you will get Chrysamere.
-Return to the priest for your reward. Note: you must have Chrysamere in your inventory and not equipped or the dialogue will not show up.

Quest: the King of Worms
-Prerequisite: Chrysamere quest complete.
-Now that you have Chrysamere the priest sends you to fight the King of Worms himself.
-An army will spawn in the Dragontail Mountains and the dungeon of Scourg Barrow will be disabled so if you wanted to search for its reaches you'll have to do so before starting this quest.
-Mannimarco's Host is powerful and large. To help in your fight you may ask for assistance to the temple of the Divines. Each will give you a number of knights and sergeants for free. The Order of Arkay will give you 12 knights and 20 sergeants, other temples 5 knights and 8 sergeants. You can only ask for units once for each temple
-Win the battle agains Mannimarco and then return to the temple of Arkay. You will be rewarded with an unique helmet and chestplate of the Knights of the Circle.


----NECROMANCER QUESTLINE----

Quest: An Ancient Rivalry
-Prerequisite: join the Order of the Black Worm. This can be done at any by finding Mannimarco in his lair deep inside the dungeon of Scourg Barrow (to access the dungeon, in the empty room where you spawn find an altar with a skull on it and hit the wall on the left in the middle with a weapon, this will revel a hidde door). Completing An Old Tome is not necessary for joining him, but it makes it easier to find his lair.
-Ask Mannimarco for tasks and he will ask you to kill a mage master travelling trough High Rock.
-Meet a small group of Worm Servants near the village of Sinefort and tell them you are ready.
-The wizard will now spawn nearby and travel towards Daggerfall. Stop him before he reaches the town of Daggerfall. To avoid missing him either have a good spotting skill or move close to the town of Daggerfall.
-Defeat the wizard and return to Mannimarco for your reward.

Quest: Arkay, the Enemy.
-Prerequisite: An Ancient Rivalry is complete.
-You will be tasked to deal with an army of knights of Arkay who will spawn near Evermore. The Army is composed of knights of Arkay, knights of Stendarr, sergeants of Arkay and mercenary crossbowmen and can be quite challanging to take on.
-A group of Black Worm Cultists will spawn near the village of Bangkorai. You can either kill them, leave them alone or make them join your party for free. If they are still around when the quest end they will despawn.
-Defeat the commander and take him prisoner Return to Mannimarco for you reward.
-After the quest is over, an army of undead knights will spawn near Scourg Barrow wandering around.

Quest: Soul of a Lich
-Prerequisite: Arkay, the Enemy complete. You recieved a letter from Mannimarco.
-After some time after you completed Arkay, the Enemy you will be attacked by Mannimarco's messangers. Defeat them and you will be tasked to return to Mannimarco.
-Mannimarco will ask you to infiltrate Castle Sentinel dungeons and slay a prince turned lich.
-Reach the town of Sentinel and you should see the option to sneak into the dungeons. Fight your way trough until you find and kill the lich.
Note: after the lich is dead, you will not be able to visit the dungeon again. So if you wish to loot the chests do so before killing the lich.
-Return to Manniamrco for your reward. A conjure lich spell.

Quest: Path of the Lich (WIP)
-Prerequisite: Soul of a Lich completed.
-After completing Soul of a Lich you may ask Mannimarco to become a lich yourself.
-Mannimarco will task you with killing a rogue necromancer who will spawn with an army of undead near Balfiera.
-Kill him and return to Mannimarco to complete the quest. You will be given and armor that makes you look like a skeleton and the ability to freely recruit the undead parties that travel around the map.
Note: the quest reward is wip and completing it will make ALL factions hate the player for being an undead.

----IMPERIAL LEGION QUESTLINE----

Quest: Join the Legion
-Can be started at any time by visiting fort Elderwald near Camlorn and speaking with the commander there.
-You will be tasked to deal with a small party of deserters patrolling the border between Camlorn and Daggerfall. Defeat and return to the Commander to complete the quest.
-Completing this quest will make an ally of the Imperial Legion faction and allow you to recruit their units and buy their equipment.

Quest: Whispers of Rebellion
-Prerequisite: complete Join the Legion.
-Talk with the Commander again and ask if he has any duties.
-Accept and he will direct you to a spy, speak with the spy who himself will point you to a mercenary camp near Woodborne Hall.
-Defeated the Mercenaries in battle and return to the commander to complete the quest and recieve the reward

Quest: The Dice is Cast
-Prerequisite: compelte Whispers of Rebellion
-Talk with the Commander again and ask if he has any duties.
-A rebel fort will spawn on the map. You will be directed to speak to an imperial legate near Vancastle.
-Speak with the legate and recieve your orders. Doing so will spawn an army of mercenaries who from the rebel castle will come to attack the legate. The army is hostile to you and is optional to fight. Either avoid it or fight it, either alone or help the legate.
-Go to the rebel fort and sneak in. You will spawn in the courtyard alongisde a small group of imperial soldiers. Make your way to the main hall.
-Enter the main hall and kill the lords. Only the leader, Lord Phiccer, is required to be dead.
-When the lord is dead the fort will disappear and you can return to the Commander in Fort Elderwald for your reward.

Quest: The Lord's Mail.
-Prerequisite: compelte the Lord's Mail
-Talk with the Commander again and ask if he has any duties.
-You will be tasked to find the Lord's Mail, stolen from some pilgrims of Kynareth.
-Head to any temple of Kynareth (closest one in Daggerfall) and ask the priests about the Mail.
-the priest will tell you the location of the attack and a party of imperial deserters will spawn.
-Defeat them to reveal their hideout.
-Enter the hideout and clear it, earning the Lord's Mail.
-Return to the commander to complete the quest.
-OPTIONAL: Return the Lord's Mail to the temple of Kynareth for a hefty reward in gold. You cannot get the armor back if you do so.

Quest: Aid from Cyrodiil (Unmarked quest)
-Near Raven Spring you can find an haunted imperial fort. Kill the lich infesting the ruins and you can report of your success to the Imperial Legion Commander if you are part of the Legion.
-The Commander will thank you for your services and mention a Cyrodiil detachment will take control of the fort.
-Return to the Fort and you will find it is now inhabited by Imperial Legionaires from Cyrodiil (Oblivion styled). Who will allow you to hire their troops and buy their equipment)

----VAMPIRE QUESTLINE----

Quest: The Mad Slayer
-Can be started at any time by talking to the constable in the castle of the town of Old Gate.
-Agree to help him and he will send you to visit a sage in town. You should be able to see an option to visit her in the town menu.
-Speak with the sage and recieve her report. She will send you to a collegue near the town
-Speak with the Collegue who will tell you who the slayer is. The slayer will spawn nearby with a small army of undead.
-Once you defeat him return to both the constable and the collegue. Each will reward you. The first with gold, the second with a sword.

Quest: The Mad Countess
-Prerequisite: complete the Mad Slayer and report your success to the sage collegue
-After a while you will be reached by a messanger asking you to meet with the collegue near nomar heights.
-Speak with the collegue and agree to help her taking down a rogue vampire and her spawn.
-The vampire castle will spawn near Erokii. You'll need to get close before you can see it, search near the mountains.
-The castle will be a short dungeon. Your objective is to kill the vampire countess.
-Once that is done return to the collegue. She will offer to transform you into a vampire.
-You can either accept or refuse. If you refuse she will hand you some gold and complete the quest but you will not get the vampire quests.
-Accept and you will have to chose a bloodline. You recieve the vampire drain spell and you will handed a quest to join the vampire clans by completing another small quest.
Note: becoming a vampire will stop priests and templar commander from talking to you, as well as making manhunter and followers of the divines parties hostile, while making vampires friendly.

Quest: The Rite of Acceptance
-Added if you accept the collegue request to become a vampire.
-You will be tasked to prove your worth as a vampire by killing another of your kind.
-Your target will spawn near Evermore, defeat him and wait a couple days for a courier to reach you.
-The location of the bloodhall will be revelaed on the map and quest will complete.

Quest. The Vampire Relic
-Prerequisite: the rite of acceptance is completed.
-Visit the bloodhall and talk with the vampire lord there.
-Ask how you can be of help and you will be directed to face some mages near Dunlain Falls.
-Defeat the mages and return to the lord to complete the quest. You will recieve no reward but the follow up quest will unlock.

Quest: The Will of Molag Bal
-Prerequisite: Complete the vampire relic
-Talk once again with the collegue and accept her task.
-You will be tasked to complete a small dungeon near Evermore to kill a rogue wizard.
-Do as ordered and return to the sage's collegue once more to be rewarded with the Mace of Molag Bal.

Quest: A Cure for Vampirism
-Prerequisite: Player is a vampire
-Once you are a vampire you can ask in temples about a vampire cure. Do as such and you will be contacted by a vampire hunter.
-Meet the vampire hunter in his abode in Daggerfall and he will tell you that you cure yourself you'll have to slay your bloodfather.
-Go to the vampire court and ask the collegue who your bloodfather is.
-You can either lie or tell her about the vampire hunter. Do the latter and the quest will fail but your relations with the vampires will increase. The vampire hunter will also spawn with an army nearby.
-Lie and she will reveal to you the location of your bloodfather crypt.
-Reach the place and complete the dungeon to slay him. The quest will be complete. You can again use temples and vampire are hostile. You will no longer be able to visit the bloodcourt. The collegue will try to attack you with a small army for your betrayal.

----ORC QUESTLINE----

Quest: Proving Blood
-can be started at any time by speaking with Gortwog gro-Nagorm in Nova Orsinium and agreeing with what he asks.
NOTE: if you start as an orc you will not recieve this quest ad Gortwog will already recognize you as kin.
-Accept to duel Gortwog's champion and tell him when you are ready. Pressing tab to leave the castle will present you with a menu where you can chose to duel the champion.
NOTE: losing the duel will not fail the quest. You can ask Gortwog to challange the champion until you succed.
-Win the duel and speak again with Gortwog who will name you orc kin. You are now allowed to recruit orc units and buy orcish equipment from the smith in Nova Orsinium.

Quest: A Matter of Honor
-Prerequisite: player is orc kin.
-Speak with Gortwog and ask if he has any task . He will then send you to defeat a medium sized army near Friendship Gate in Shornhelm.
-Defeat the army and return to Gortwog to recieve your reward.

Quest: Orcish Emancipation
-Prerequisite: A matter of honor completed;
-Speak again with Gortwog and help him. He explains that for the orcish people to be recognized on par with other races he will need the support of the three major kingdoms of the bay, Wayrest, Daggerfall and Sentinel.
-You will be issued 3 subquests to gain favour for each of the monarchs. You have to complete all of these to complete the main quest:
-For Daggerfall simply deliver a letter to King Gothryd;
-For Sentinel you will have to duel a Knight of the Candle and then hand 10000 septims (provided by Gortwog) to King Camaron;
-For Wayrest you will have to track a group of necromancers gathered near Ganada Pass and retrieve a book for Queen Barenizah. Deliver the book to Barenziah's emissary. Note, speaking of the matter with King Eadwyre will only make him attack you
-Once all of the above steps are complete you can return to Gortwog and claim your reward

Quest: Of Chains and Betrayal (Malacath's Quest)
-Prerequisite: player is orc kin.
-Speak with the Orc Shaman in Nova Orsinium and ask to serve Malacath
-You will be sent to deal with a orc slaver near Watcher's Hold, guarded by a mercenary force
-Defeat him and return to the shaman to complete the quest and claim Volendrung


----DIVINE CRUSADER QUESTLINE----

Quest: The Missing Keeper
-Prerequisite: player is level 12.
-Ask for rumors at any town temple and you will be asked to investigate a shrine of Mara located near Wrotghar.
-Enter the shrine and reach the inner sanctum where you will have to battle a dremora.
-Kill the dremora and a survivor to the temple will explain what happend.
-Return to the temple and complete the quest, immediately issuing the next one.

Quest: The Crusader's Pilgrimage
- 7 shrines of the Divines will spawn around the map, you are to visit each of them to gather the relics of the Crusader. Each shrine will have it's own unique task:
.Akatosh: duel a knight for the Cuirass of the Crusader;
.Araky: defeat a lich near Skaven for the Sword of the Crusader;
.Dibella: donate 5000 septims to help a young artist achieve her dream, recieving the Helmet of the Crusader;
.Kynareth: don't fight back when ambushed by a bear and recieve the Boots of the Crusader;
.Stendarr: find the shrine's keeper who was kidnapped by vampires and recieve the Gauntlest of the Crusader;
.Julianos: answer "kindness" to his riddle for the Shield of the Crusader. A band of daedra cultists will spawn nearby;
.Zenithar: help a merchant fix his cart for the Mace of the Crusader. A band of daedra cultists will spawn nearby.
-After you have gathered all the relics go to any temple to be proclamed as Divine Crusader and thus complete the quest

Quest: In the name of the Divines
-After some time from the completing of last quest you will be met by a band of followers of the divines lead by the same knight you rescued from the shrine of Mara in the beginning
-You will be tasked to slay a sorcer named Corixtio who has a fortress hidden somewhere near Skyreach. Defeat the army guarding it to gain access.
-Entering the fortress will put you in a small siege map at the head of an army of crusaders against daedra worshipers. Your goal is to reach the door the central tower. (NOTE: in the beginning the map will heavily lag but everything should go back to normal in a few moments, after your units start heading to the fortress)
-Ascend to the main tower and defeat Corixtio, completing the quest.


----LORD K'AVAR QUESTSLINE----

Quest: The Serpent's Trail
-Prerequisit: Player is level 8 and part of the fighters guild
-Once all the conditions are met ask to the fighters guild master for any particular task and he will offer the quest
-You will be asked to meet an npc near Windkeep. When you meet him he will however die and ask you to go to Sentinel. Some outlwas will then attack you
-Go to Sentinel and speak with Queen Akorithi
-You will be asked to deal with a traitor to throne. Lord K'avar stronghold will be revealed on the map.
-Entering the stronghold will put you in a small siege like battle, where however you will not be using your own troops but some preset soldiers.
-Reach the keep and defeat lord K'avar, once that is done you can return to the Queen and complete the quest.

Quest: The Queen's Justice
-Prerequisite: The Serpent's Trail is completed
-After some time by the ending of the previous quest you will be attacked a group of Lord K'avar's archers.
-Survive the attack and some days later you will be contacted by a knight of Sentinel.
-Go to Queen Akorithi and she will explain that lord K'avar escaped justice and is belived to be hiding somewhere in Wayrest.
-A new location will show on your map, Wayrestian palace. Go inside and reach the private chambers where a mercenary will tell you lord K'avar is gathering his allies to overthrow the Queen and then attack you.
-Either find lord K'avar near where is stronghold was or go to the Queen. Both will result in fighting the treacherous lord if you inform the queen she will give you some free troops to help in the battle.
-Defeat Lord K'avar and bring him back to the Queen to complete the quest and earn your reward.

----DAEDRIC QUESTS----

-Molag Bal's Quest: see vampire questline section
-Malacath's Quest: see orc questiline section

Quest: The Light of Dawn
-Prerequisite: level 10, player is not a necromancer/divine crusader
-Find the shrine of Meridia near Raven Spring and speak with the priest, asking to serve the daedric prince.
-You will be tasked with dealing with some shades near Dunlain Falls and to find the necromancers who summoned them.
-Defeating the shades will reveal a nearby crypt, enter and kill the necromancer at it's end.
-Return to the priest to complete the quest and recieve Dawnbreaker.

Quest: Dagon's Challenge
-Prerequisite: level 8
-Find the secret shrine to Mehrunes Dagon in the daedric ruins and speak with the Dremora Kynmarcher.
-He will ask you to find Merhunes Razor located in Scourg Barrow.
-Find the tomb and enter the dungeon. To find the dagger you will have to go to the left side until you will find a room with a lich. Opposite to this is a passage sealed with a fake wall. Hit it to reveal a part of the dungeon inhabited by some vampires. Once again head to the left side until you find a chest with a rusty dagger.
-Return the dagger to the dremora and he will give you Mehrunes Razor and complete the quest

Quest: Sheogorath's Tea Party
-Find Sheogorath Shrine somewhere above Alcaire, in Camlorn territory and make an offering of a cabbage and a wheel of cheese
-You will be tasked to kill a knight named Eleric who can be found near Valewatch at the head of a small army
-Defeat him and return to the Shrine. Talk to Sheogorath for you reward, the Spear of Bitter Mercy

Quest: A Hunter's Retribution
-In the Glenmoril Coven (hills between Daggerfall and Camlorn) speak with the head witch and make an offering of furs and raw beef.
-Hircine will ask you to kill one of his renegade sons who is hiding in the forests near Silvehoof
-Find the npc and either kill or spare him. The first will proceed the quest as normal while sparing him will fail it but earn you the Saviour's Hide
-If you kill your target return to the witch and you can complete the quest, recieving the Bow of the Stag Prince

Quest: A Deal with the Devil
-Find the Shrine of Clavicus Vile near Skaven and speak with the priestess to begin the quest. (Requires level 12 as well as the payment of 8000 denars),
-Clavicus you ask you bring him the sword Umbra, wielded by a warrior of the same name who is hiding somewhere nearby. Clavicus will suggest you speak to a group of knights of Ebonarm who were also tracking the warrior down
-Either explore to find the ancient ruins or speak with the knights of Ebonarm near Cloudkeep to learn its location (Note: revealing to the knights you are working for Clavicus Vile will have them attack you)
-In the ruins you will find Umbra. You can either fight her or persuade her to give you the sword. If the persuasion is succesful she can then be dismissed or hired as a mini-companion.
-Umbra can either be returned to Clavicus Vile in exchange for his mask, given to the knights of Ebonarm who will reward you with the Greatshield of Ebonarm or kept. Telling the priestess that you are keeping the sword will make her and her guards attack you.



----MISC QUESTS----

Quest: A Debt to be Repaid
-Can be started anytime by speaking to Slave merchant Ramun in Glenumbra's tavern.
-Ask if he has any task and he will send you to deal with a merchant near Sunkeep.
-Either defeat the merchant guards or persuade him to give you the money he owes to Ramun.
-Retun to Ramun to complete the quest. You will then be able to access the Thieves Guild from the guild menu in towns.

Quest: The Competition
-Can be started by asking for special jobs from the Fighters Guild Steward in any town
-Accepting will lead you in a competition against a mercenary warband. Head to Fell's Run and you will recieve the instructions to deal with an orcish warlord near Old Gate who kidnapped the daughter of the town's lord;
-Head to the Stronghold and fight your way to the Orc Chief. He will claim ignorance of the matter, you can either believe him and leave peacefuly or kill him. Either way the daughter is nowhere to be found.
-Return to Fell's Run and tell the steward what happened. He will direct you to the camp of your rivals. Inside speak with their commander. He will attack you. If you survive the duel you can report of your success to the steward, be defeated and you will have to deal with a mercenary army
-The steward will thank you for your services and pay you. Return to the Fighters Guild and you will also be awarded a badge which reduces the upkeep of mercenaries as long as it's in your inventory.

Quest: Former Apprentice
-Once you are level 8 and if you are part of the Mages Guild you can ask for tasks. You will be asked to deal with a renaged mage named Beltham Greyman who is hiding in Lambtown
-Head to the village and find the Mage in the graveyard. He will offer you to join him. You can either accept him or refuse. Refuse and he will attack
-If he is killed, you can return to the Mages Guild and recieve both gold and a free spell as rewards;
-If you join him, he will tell you to go back to the Mages Guild and inform the Archmagister he was not there. You will still be rewarded with gold but not the free spell.
-If you spared Greyman, after a few days you will be met by his messanger who will ask you come to Balfiera's tavern to meet with him
-Meet the mage and he will ask you to join him in a treasure hunt. Accept and he will join your party asking you to find an Adamntium Box hidden in the Direnni ruins in the island
-Find the dungeon and towards the end you will find a room guarded by 3 fire Daedra. inside the chest is the box.
-Give it to Greyman will conclude the quest and award you the spell to summon fire Daedra


Quest: The Dragonsword of Laynlin (Unmarked quest)
-If you explore the Renegade fortress you might find the Dragonsword of Laynlin.
-You are free to keep the weapon but you can also delvier it to either Baron Shrieke or Lord Kain, two warring brothers.
-Giving the sword to Baron Shrieke will reward you with gold, while Kain with honor. Each will also give you a set of armor of either the knights of the horn or of the true horn and at the same time spawn a band of the rival knights that will hunt you and attack.

Quest: Fighter guild bounties.
-Small quests that can be started at any time from any fightes guild
-Similar to the hunt down a murder quest from lords, you will be tasked to find an npc in a random village in the region and kill him.
Note: the target here can be anything from a looter to a knight.
-Kill the target and report to any fighter guild for your reward. can be repeated indefinately.

Quest: artifact hunt.
-Can be started at any time by talking to the Rare Item merchant who wander around the taverns in towns and asking him about artifacts.
-Select an artifact from the list and you will be directed to fight a small elite army around the map.
-Defeat them and you will get the appropriate reward as well as complete the quest.
Note: this quest is just a placeholder until a proper way to get the artifacts is added.

Hey! Have to say, i'm loving the mod so far, but i have noticed what is perhaps a bug on the "mad slayer" quest; After speaking with the sage and she sends me my way to her colleague there's no advancement in the quest itself, it still tells me to visit the sage even though i have obtained the autopsy report yet have to find this certain colleague

In the quest journal you mean? If so you are right, the journal does not update.

Question, could we get a hint to where this "renegade fortress" for the dragonsword quest? im not familiar enougth with daggerfall to know where i could find it.

Sorry for the late reply, the dungeon is located between Leki and Hoon Ding in Sentinel. I suggest you ask your questions in the main page instead of the articles as I don't look here often.
It is actually a made up location so even if you were going to search for it in Daggerfall or the TES series you will not find it.
