In the wake of despair left by Stronghold 3, I have decided that it is time for a few good SH2 mods, since this is an area which is sorely lacking. Imperium Condita is a roman modification of Stronghold 2. This mod will include: Better textures and graphics Historical military units New historical music Historical factions Changed game mechanics (i.e. Honor becomes Glory) Different voice acting (eventually) A new campaign New maps And much more on the way. I understand that SH2 is an older game, but it is still loved by many, and it has great bones for modders. This is an experiment to see whether the gaming community is interested in SH2 mods anymore. Feedback is greatly appreciated.

A long overdue update. I know, its been over a month since I posted pictures, and I'm sorry for that. But this will give you an idea of where we stand.

Greetings Gamers.

So I'm sure a lot of you are thinking the same thing. “These screenshots look great. Why hasn't he released the mod yet??” Well, they may look finished, but that is because I try to only post good looking content. The truth is, there is still a lot to be done. You all have been very patient, and I never take that for granted. So here is an update as to what has been, and still needs to be done.

Textures:

Most of the animals, About 2 thirds of the buildings, a few military units, and almost all of the civilian units still need to be re-textured. This is a slow and deliberate process, but it also happens to be what I'm best at. So progress is continually made here. But hey, the terrain is almost done!

UI:

A good chunk of UI has been made, and I now have a color scheme and template for the mod's look. So a little over half still remains. Which is good.

Animations/Models:

This is an ever evolving process, swapping out models and animations. If I had to put it into a measurable amount, I'd say I'm about 1 third of the way done with this process.

Music/SFX:

I have a few small pieces of music I have made, and a lot of raw data sound files I recorded. However, the sound design of the mod is still in its infancy, and only a little has been done.

Maps:

This is by far, the part of the mod I am lagging behind in the most. I have 4 kingmaker maps done, and 1 campaign map. This has never been one of my strengths, and will probably be the most time consuming part of creating this mod.

So overall, this mod still needs a lot of work. The pictures I post may not look like it, but believe me when I say this. It is NOT ready. Lots of stuff has been happening in my life, and I'm finding myself with less time and motivation to work on the mod. But it will be released. Perhaps not tomorrow, or next month, or even this year. But it will not die. It cannot die. I won't do that to you guys. On that, you have my word. So that's where we stand. Again, thank you for your support and encouragement. It really does mean a lot to guys like me.

I respect modders like you, especially one so dedicated to an old game like SH2 (which needed a good modding done to it)
