Inspired by other drop mods, such as Enjoy SP-mode, Stra-D2Mod aims at increasing the playability in single player while maintaining
the difficulty and the mechanics of the vanilla version. This is achieved, for example, by increasing runes and items drop rate,
but keeping unchanged the experience progression, the item level requirements and the item socketing process. Although the mod should
work with 1.14 patch (not tested though), it is HIGHLY recommended to use 1.13 patch in order to make Stra-D2Mod compatible with PLUGY
and enjoy its amazing features such as the Diablo Clone and Uber Tristram events, greater stash, infinity number of stash pages shared
between chars and the possibility of doing cow level runs even after the Cow King dead. A suggested PLUGY setting file
(Diablo Clone will automatically spawns in game between 0-180 min of playing the same game) is enclosed in the Stra-D2Mod folder.
MAJOR FEATURES:
-Increased runes drop rate: high runes now drop at a reasonable rate without preventing the drop of lower runes.
-Increased Unique and Set items drop rate, especially from Champions, Uniques and Boss monsters.
-The three Ancients now drop items; their Treasure Class is similar to other super unique monsters.
-It is now possible to socket items via cube recipes simulating the result expected from the Larzurck socketing quest:
Lo rune + 1 perfect gem + jewel + magic item -> 1-2 socketed magic item
Sur rune + 1 perfect gem + jewel + rare item -> 1 socketed rare item
Ber rune + 1 perfect gem + jewel + set item -> 1 socketed set item
Jah rune + 1 perfect gem + jewel + unique item -> 1 socketed unique item
Cham rune + 1 perfect gem + jewel + normal item -> max socketed norm item
Zod(r33) + 1 perfect gem + jewel + superior item -> max socketed sup item
-Increased the max stack of keys, town portal and identify scrolls to 100. No increase in max stack of javelins, arrows, bolts
and other throwing weapons to keep unaltered the mechanics/difficulty of ranged builds.
-Rare rings and amulets drop at a lower rate. However, the chance of gambling them has been doubled: chance of gambling Rares, Uniques and Sets
is now 20%, 2% and3%, respectively.
-Changed the colour of gems and of rejuvenation potions on the ground from white to red and purple, respectively.
INSTALLATION:
1)Downgrade (or upgrade) to the 1.13 patch of LoD. You will find it at Plugy.free.fr
2) Replace the d2data.mpq file inside the Diablo II folder with the one of the Stra-d2Mode folder. This should change the colour of gems and rejuvenation
potions on the ground: It works for sure with the English version, not tested with other languages.
3) install the latest PlugY version (http://plugy.free.fr/en/index.html);
4) copy the “data” folder of Stra-D2Mod into the “Mod PlugY” Folder (if you have installed a previous versionof Stra-D2Mode, delete first the old "data" folder and then add the new one).
5) replace the plugy.ini INSIDE the Mod PlugY folder with the one of Stra-D2Mod FOLDER.
6) make a shortcut of PlugY.exe which is the Mod PlugY folder on your desktop and add to the file path: -direct -txt
The filepath should be something like this "C:\Program Files (x86)\Diablo II\Mod PlugY\PlugY.exe" -direct –txt.
Please note that -direct –txt is OUTSIDE the quote.
7) Use the latter shortcut to launch the mod and enjoy.

How do you get the rar. files into downloadable files for the original game?
