The annual Make Something Unreal contest recently found the winners for the third phase of the competition, which Steam Racers entered in the very last seconds before the deadline. In reality, we submitted a very rough, early 1.0 version of Steam Racers with a lot of bugs yet to be removed, so our expectations were quite.
All the more we were excited to discover that Steam Racers won two prizes in Phase 1! Although it never reached the number one spot, it received an impressive 3. place in Best Non-FPS Mod and a 4. place in Best Use of Physics. Steam Racers was also among the final 12 candidates in best character.
We are all very grateful for these accomplisments. Now we have submitted the much refined version 2.0 of Steam Racers for Phase 4, where we especially hope to excel in the Best New Vehicle Set category. Fingers crossed :)
