Star Wars: Prelude to Awakening is a SWEAW: Forces of Corruption mod that is set in the new canon right after the Battle of Endor, bridging the gap between Episode VI: Return of the Jedi and Episode VII: The Force Awakens. Fight as either the Empire, or the New Republic for control of the galaxy.

April 12th 2016 - Star Wars: Prelude to Awakening update

Posted by on

Hey everyone, this week's updates are going a slight bit slower than usual. But don't worry, the mod is still in progress, I have some extra schoolwork to do due to failing one of my exams. I will have to retake the test and therefore updates won't be as frequent. But you can still expect at least two updates every week until I can start working at normal pace again. Moving on, here is what I've added.

Planets:

- Boz Pity

- Rodia

- Devaron

- Orto Plutonia

- Tweaked other planets, removed Myrkr to fit canon lore.

Misc:

- Changed the galactic position of certain planets to fit with the canon Star Wars-galaxy map.

- Garm Bel Iblis removed.

Units:

- CT-7567 (Rex) added!

[REBELS SPOILERS]

You guys might wonder why I added Rex. It just so happens that Dave Filoni, creator of Star Wars: Rebels and Star Wars: The Clone Wars, has confirmed Rex's appearance at the Battle of Endor. So, I thought including him in the game would be a fun addition :)

(Image below depicting Rex in Return of the Jedi, the Legends version of this character was named Nik Sant, however for the new canon he has been confirmed to be Rex from the Clone Wars.)

Actually it's cool you're adding Rex, but know that he didn't really confirm it. He said he thought it would be cool, and a lot of sites seemed to think that was confirmation. I still say you keep him though.

I prefer the old Canon. To show how much I am devoted to it, Ill tell you that I have read most of Timothy Zahn's novels. The only one that I haven't read (I think) is the Last Command, which is part of the Thrawn trilogy. This mod is still cool though.
