STAR WARS 2015FRONT II
VERSION 1
BY GIFTHECK (ggctuk@gmail.com)
=================================
=================================
This is my first-ever SWBF2 mod. Originally, it started out as a SWBF2 version of the SWBF DICE Edition mod, but as I worked on it, I decided to focus it entirely on inspiration derived from the 2015 game. As such, it is restricted to the Galactic Civil War era, to better-capture the essence of the 2015 Battlefront game.
The space missions have been altered visually as well.
By default, there are seven classes for each faction. On certain maps, one side will have one more selectable unit, dependent on the hero for that side. On maps where Princess Leia is the Rebel hero, the Rebel Honor Guard will be an additional unit. On maps where Emperor Palpatine is the Empire hero, the Royal Guard will be an additional unit, and on maps where Director Krennic is the Empire hero, Death Troopers will serve as an additional unit.
Some additional ideas have been worked in where I feel it is appropriate. For instance, the DH-17 Blaster Pistol is a semi-automatic pistol, while the DH-17 Blaster Rifle (wielded by Nien Nunb exclusively) is fully-automatic. Instead of an EE-3, the Rebel Assault Trooper wields an A-280 to keep him consistent with the Rebel weapon aesthetic.
Addon map support has been added for certain maps:
-XBox DLC maps (Bespin, Rhen Var, Rhen Var: Harbor, Yavin IV: Arena)
-Bespin (Elite Squadron)
-Endor (Renegade Squadron)
-Echo Base (Renegade Squadron) - includes new Hunt and Hero Assault modes
-Death Star (Elite Squadron) - includes new Hero Assault mode
-Scarif: Beaches
-Sullust: Garrison (Renegade Squadron)
-Yavin IV (Elite Squadron)
Additional maps will be added in for the future.

Downloading as I type this, are Blaster effects changed? or are gonna be changed in the future?
Not bad. Not bad at all.
Really good update. The support for more maps is great and the new Rebel skins make the Rebel side more interesting. The new map props also make for a nice touch.
I've played a few matches and I have to say that I've noticed a few bugs, so I guess I'll report them here:
1) It seems that on Coruscant Rebels have the floating weapon icon bug (the bug did not appear on the other maps I've tested, though)
2) I've noticed that the Mustafar variant of the Twi'lek class uses defeault human marksman fpp hands model). She also seems to still use the SWBF2 Marksman skeleton despite having the standard body type in that variant, but I guess that you might have kept it that way intentionally.
3) Now, this is not a bug, but, when it comes to that Twi'lek marksman, she seems to be a bit ineffective in combat. Her sniper rifle overheats after one shot, similarly to her secondary weapon. The result is that I often find myself unable to do anything for a moment, as both of my weapons are overheated. Maybe it was meant to be that way, in which case I won't complain, but I though that maybe giving her some sort of a pistol as her secondary weapon would be a good idea, especially that her Imperial counterpart, the Shadow Trooper, has a pretty decent set of weapons/tools.
Still, the mod is a blast to play, and it's even better than the previous release. :)
Thanks!
Weird that the floating icon bug appears on Corusscant given the weapons are the same.
I've just noticed that the Twi'Lek is using the Scarif skin on Mustafar, so I'll need to change that. I'll look into the FPS model issue also.
As for her weapons, the DLT-19D is supposed to overheat after one shot. I made the CA-87 also overheat after one shot but it should cool faster. This is because the CA-87 is a Shock Blaster and it pushes back enemies. The idea behind the Specialist was that it would serve either as a long-range unit, or as an up-close unit which works best with a squad of soldiers. On her own, she's a bit of a glass cannon, and that is intentional.
