A new mod was released for Galactic Civilizations 2, which is one of the best turn based strategy games to come out lately. The MOD is called Star Trek Vs. Star Wars. It features all the major races and starships from the Star Trek series and the Star Wars movies. If you have ever wondered who would control the Galaxy with a war of Star Trek and Star Wars races then this is the mod for you. Please note: you need the Twilight Arnor expansion pack to play this mod. To install it, just unzip everything to the following directory: C:\Program Files\Stardock Games\Galactic Civilizations II - Ultimate Edition\Twilight\Mods\Default

I am in the process of adding new random events that relate to star trek and star wars. I would like any suggestions on events you would like me to add. Right now I have just thought of one where your planet is infested with Tribbles and you must decide how to deal with them. So any ideas?

Some random events:

1. Attack by pirates (Orions, whatever the Star Wars style pirates are) - morale, money & population
2. Discovery of an ancient artefact, either gives a superweapon or special ability, or improves local ships (Guardian of forever, something jedi-esque, etc) - production, planet quality, influence, defence, research, starships
3. Incursion of a hostile fleet of ships from another sci fi universe, not as an extra race but just 3 to 5 different types of ships.
(there has to be some reason why ST & SW are together in the first place,
same applies to other sci fi like B5, Halo, Stargate, etc) - after destroying their ships maybe you can build them or one?
4. Occurance of spacial phenomena disrupting something or other
(the nexus, ion storm, nova, etc) - economy, defence, planet quality, morale
5. ... ummm ... mental block...
