Welcome all to another announcement for STL: The Aftermath
Onto an update on Stage 2, there has now been the addition of a third new game mode bringing the total game modes available to play up to 8. The three new game modes are Infiltrate, Sabotage and Annihilation. More on these game modes will be announced at a later stage.
Onto more updates, Stage 2 will be the first mod to have a fully automated repair system. What does this mean exactly? Well in a nutshell, the AI has grown some much needed brains. As you already know from Stage 1 the enemy could repair themselves, now your allies repair themselves too. You no longer have to switch to ships and stay with them while they repair as they will repair themselves when they take heavy damage. This new feature alone adds more life to Legacy.
Another feature that is being fine tuned but may never be released is the multiple shield facings system. Yes peoples, Legacy does in fact have a multiple shield system that has been activated in Stage 2. Although this feature is relatively new, further testing on it will be needed to see if it has any purpose being activated. Current tests have shown some very interesting results but Im taking a wait and see approach with this feature.
The tutorials are coming along very nicely now that they all have a uniform look to them, the moment you pick up any of the tutorials contained in Stage 2 they are instantly recognizable. The tutorials have been redesigned and follow a more ‘hands-on’ approach to them. Currently some Stage 2 tutorials are being used by New Gen and TLG to assist in the developments of their mods. There are currently 6 tutorials in Stage 2.
Stage 2 will also see the addition of the first lot of brand new Co-Op Wave maps, currently there a 4 new ones with more to follow. There will be a few more Death Match maps and STL: The Aftermath’s amount of players will be bumped up to 8. Not all maps will have 8 player capabilities.
